LG UltraGear 27GS60F Gaming Monitor 27 inch, FHD IPS, Black

I'm hesitant to write a review so early after purchase, but it's been a positive experience so far. Like many customers at the moment, I feel like buying anything on Amazon is like playing the lottery, I've sent back pretty much all electrical devices, the last one being a Z-edge gaming monitor that arrived with backlight bleed. It's at the point where I even expect defective items now. Not so with the LG - working perfectly straight out the box and is definitely worth the price imo. Using native resolution you get 180hz and the picture is nice and crisp. My set up; I have G-sync activated in NVIDIA control panel, as well having VSync set to ON (not Fast) - I always switch off Vsync option in games settings, and I have the adapt sync on the monitor switched off as I was experiencing ghosting and screen flicker in one game with it switched on. I would like to add I like how heavy and solid the base is, the monitor feels secure and can tilt angle. In case anyone is wondering it's a matte screen (which I prefer).

i play on the ps5 pro and it does me wonders .. good starting monitor and nice and cheap compared to others

I have bought this monitor for my middle grandson having bought the same model for his older brother last year. They both are very happy with their monitor and it was easy to set up. They are very pleased with the brightness and general appearance.

Nice clear display, a bit wobbly on it's stand.

Very good value for money. Nice sharp picture and has a headphone socket which I attach to the aux of my boombox so there is a nice full sound hdmi to my PlayStation 4

The monitor developed a fault after just over 2 months, although it had only been in use for 6 weeks as it was a Christmas present. After assessing the fault LG decided the monitor was uneconomical to repair as the part needed was no longer available. They issued me with a letter authorising the retailer Five Tech Limited, who also trade as Box UK, to provide a replacement or credit. When I contacted Five Tech they ignored the letter from the manufacturer and insisted that the monitor be returned to the manufacturer for repair even though LG had already said that wasn’t possible. After 8 weeks since I returned the monitor I had no updates even though I had requested them twice. The company also seemed to be unaware of consumer rights. At one stage of communication Box UK tried to claim that I should have returned the monitor within 30 days if I wanted a refund. However, under the consumer rights act 2015 If the 30-day window has passed, items must be durable and of satisfactory quality, meaning they should last a reasonable time based on price, description, and usage. Goods must be fit for purpose, safe, and free from defects. If products fail early (e.g., within 30 days or up to 6 months), you have rights to repairs, replacements, or refunds. Also under the consumer rights act the repair should not take an unreasonable length of time and cause undue inconvenience. According to my research up to 30 days is considered a reasonable length of time for a monitor repair. Update After 8 weeks Box UK told me they were chasing the manufacturer for a credit note. I contacted Citizens Advice who told me because my contract was with the retailer so they were responsible for providing the refund not the manufacturer. Box UK ignored this and repeated they were chasing the manufacturer. I finally contacted Amazon via the A-Z guarantee and was given a refund via straightaway. Amazon would then retrieve the refund from the retailer. Box UK contacted me the next day to say they were going to issue me with a refund, but I suspect that was because Amazon had already taken it out of their hands and issued the refund. I would urge anyone thinking of buying from this retailer to be very wary,

So I bought this to replace a TV I was using for my laptop, the image is crystal clear and is superb for gaming and watching videos. The only downside is fall is it could do with built in sound. However I knew this before purchasing and it’s still 5 star!
