I bought it as a birthday gift for my son who has been eating with chopsticks since he was a child. Now that he moved out on his own he uses the metal chopstick and I hate those. These chopsticks are bamboo and more closer to nature and definately makes the food taste way better than eating with metal utensils. He loves these chopsticks especially the design and including the fact that it comes with a rest and carry pouch so he can use it when dining out. I picked up my son's habit and now I also eat EVERYTHING with chopsticks including my soup! you figure it out! ha ha

they are really pretty and fun to touch because of the gold handles but i wish they had ridges like some other chopsticks. sometimes when i am eating oilier food its harder to grab then if i used normal chopsticks. they dont give me splinters in my tongue so thats always great.
