Paint by Numbers Kit

I love this! The colors were bright and I enjoyed doing the painting. It is a very relaxing activity. Supplies were a good quality and the painting looks great!

The color and design are almost exactly like it was pictured online. The canvas has a layer of paint with the design on top. This is great cause the paint went on very smoothly. There was enough leftover paint for me to extend the picture to the edged of the canvas. I have done a lot of paint by numbers and this was the best experience I have had.

Therapeutic and gorgeous results. A little creasing when it arrived and a bit difficult to match the colors with the tiny detailed spaces and provided brushes but it turned out vibrant! Clearly numbered and easy to read. I’d recommend for anyone looking for an inexpensive mindful hobby.

This painting turned out lovely! My criticisms are firstly that these always come folded and the creases are dang near impossible to iron out entirely. Second, overall the quality of the paint is not great. Some are fine, some go lumpy very quickly and some are too transparent. I got through it with the help of flow aid and stirring white paint in to the transparent ones. I'd buy this brand again though because for the price you can producs a pretty great painting! The brushes aren't too bad either!

I enjoyed this more than I expected. I am an artist and usually hate this kind of thing as it is too "crafty" and I don't like following exact directions. I'd usually rather paint my own picture. But, this was more like playing an online game, in that it was calming. There were no decisions to make! I just colored in all of one color and then another one. Having the same experience as an online game, but in real time and real space was wonderful. The digital experience always leaves me feeling empty. This makes you feel like you accomplished something and really plays well with "Mindfulness". I did use (and loved) Betem 72 Colors Paint Markers Acrylic Paint Pens, Dual Tip with Brush Tip and Fine Tip instead of the tedious paints that are sent with it. The paints are too thick (although you should continually add water to them and mix them to thin them out a bit) The brushes are cheap and the hairs on them make it impossible to stay in the lines. The PAINT PENS are fabulous! One end is stubby and the other is like a brush. I used both. It took me a bit of time to translate the colors from the paint pots to the matching paint pen. But I numbered the pens, so it was easier to do. The uploaded picture is not yet finished. I started with the 48 pen set, but I needed some specific colors, and sent for the larger 72 pen set. I am waiting on them to arrive b4 I finish it. Already sent for 4 more! And there is plenty of paint left in the pens for many many more hours of fun! I listen to audio books and I can't tell you how relaxing it is!!!

I absolutely love the art, it's gorgeous! It was so fun, anyone can paint these and it's excellent for a stress-free, meditation, self care, no decision making art creating time! My ADHD brain needed to find this hobby bc I love painting but my perfectionistic brain needs a break sometimes and it's lovely to not have to think while creating beautiful art for the dopamine! Cons: it comes folded so it's wrinkled. I found that you can iron the back on low heat after you get it a bit damp to remove the wrinkles. It's also not quite 16x20 and could not be stretched to fit 16x20 bars. I was left to either toss it in a frame with a mat that would cover way too much of the painting or staple it while stretching as much as possible to a canvas frame. Even the extra canvas is not long enough to be stapled on the back of the frame. I had to staple it on top which looks like crap. Pros: it's beautiful and I loved painting it and it was cheap! I got what I paid for. I will never buy a folded canvas again, only rolled or framed. So sadly this company is out for me.

I'm currently working on this painting and really enjoying it. I've read other reviews and understand people have had issues with not enough paint. I always use an acrylic paint additive that helps prolong the paint without thinning it so this is working great to help with paint. They do give you extra black so there's plenty for the entire painting. I also use toothpicks to scrap along the sides of the paint tubs to mix and rejuvenate the paint consistency. These paint-by-number style paintings require a small brush and a gentle tough. This painting is one you'll want to take your time with as there's a lot of intricate spaces to it. I've found that the example image online and the actual painting are different with less details, color variations, and not as many flowers at the bottom so I had to remove a star for that. The canvas is a low profile texture making it much easier to paint. The paint is great quality and most areas I'm able to cover in one coat with lighter areas/number coverage being the exception. The value for the money is excellent as I've paint 5 times as much for far lesser quality canvas and paint. All-in-all I'm really quite happy with this painting and highly recommend. I haven't had a chance to take any photos yet but will add those shortly.
