Highly recommend. Works great. No issues. Fast 3.0/3.1 data transfer rates. The cord is proprietary?/atypical/nonstandard end where it plugs into the hard drive. Heat level is medium - it gets a little hot but not bad. Seems sturdy. Keeps data safe. Still works after 6 months. Will update if any issues of data loss or if it acts up, but so far it's great! I like the compact size - fits easily in handbag or cosmetic-size pouch, but would be too thick/deep for a typical shirt or pants pocket. Typical USB compatible on the computer/tablet. Pretty color blue.

Granted the old one was showing signs of EOL, with no more support from WD/Sandisk, but this is a huge boost with 3.2 speeds. This is hooked up to a USB 3.2 on a modern gaming rig, and is outperforming most user benchmarks (your results may vary). Bonus: This was an Amazon Resale so I saved 27% and the Passport is mint condition as described! (Go into disk management to initialize and create new simple volume, assign a drive letter, and name it if desired.)

Bought this on a recommendation from a tech friend to move and save thousands of pics from my phone. Simple and easy to connect and move photos. 6 TB gives me HUGE storage at a one time price that made sense!! Thx Bill Z!!

I've always considered Western Digital hard drive products to be very dependable, and having owned over 40 WD storages devices over the years, this unit is the first to fail on me, and did so within 2 months of limited and totally proper careful use like always. Not sure why this happened, but I've purchased a replacement drive (different model) and will start recovery options once it arrives. It also looks like I am past the Amazon standard return date, so I will investigate my options for return of the defective unit.

Nice backup drive for a home computer.

I bought this to replace another drive that was full. This is one of the larger external drives that is relatively inexpensive, small, and not requiring a separate power cord. I'm not technically expert, but had no problem setting this up for automatic backup or transferring files from my other drive. It has been reliable and sufficiently fast.

I am sure this is going to be a great product. However, I was shocked when this expensive, fragile item was delivered to me in a loose package and was not bubble-wrapped.
