Samsung Galaxy S24+ Plus 5G, US Version, 256GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)

Received the Galaxy 24+ in a few days. The phone was in perfect, like new condition. I had it programmed through my phone carrier with no issues. After over 6 weeks of use, it performs with no issues. It processes really fast. The battery life is fantastic. I use it all day and still have well over 65% battery life after heavy use. I have no complaints and would purchase from this seller again. The price is fantastic as well as the phones performance. You will save a ton of money by purchasing directly and not leasing or buying through a phone carrier.

Prime Cellutions (one of many entities under the Amazon Renewed store) delivered this item (S24+ 256Gb Black, unlocked) a day faster than promised and it arrived well packed in what appears new condition - zero scratches and unlocked as promised. Also included was a USB-C 20W UL listed wall wart, short C to C cable and screen protector. When first turned on you should be aware that the previous carriers splash screen and ecosystem may appear installed but this will be replaced with your carriers when the sim/esim is updated to your carrier. SIM status was listed as no SIM restrictions - and indication of unlocked-ness. After moving my SIM to this phone it connected to Verizon immediately and worked great. Using SmartSwitch to migrate from previous phone worked smoothly and I was up and running after about an hour of migration (via wifi in my case.) Be advised there are many different sellers under the Amazon Renewed storefront, so this review is specific to my interaction with Prime Cellutions - your mileage may vary with different sellers but I will definitely consider Prime Cellutions again.

I bought this phone expecting a standard, working device. Initially, everything was fine. However, I have discovered a critical software flaw that prevents the phone from receiving any updates. This means the device is already significantly outdated and will become a security risk. ​The core issue: ​Stuck on Old Software: The phone is running One UI version 6.1 and Android version 14. While others are receiving the new One UI 8.0 update, my phone is completely locked out. ​Outdated Security: The device claims it is "up to date," but the actual software information shows a Security patch level of November 1, 2024. This means the phone has not received a security patch in an entire year (as of late 2025) and is vulnerable. ​Technical Confirmation of the Problem: ​When attempting a manual software update, the system reports the following information, which confirms the update mechanism is broken: ​Update information: One UI version: 6.1, Android version: 14 Current version: S926USQU4AXK5 / S926UOYN4AXK5 / S926USQU4AXK5 Security patch level: November 1, 2024 ​The retailer's response confirms this is a severe and unfixable flaw: ​I contacted my carrier, Amazon, and the manufacturer (if applicable). Amazon's technical support provided a definitive, alarming response: ​"FOTA is also not supported in this version. (210) The version of the device is NOT supported. (No delta for the version)" ​This technical response indicates that the specific software build on this phone is not recognized by the standard update server and cannot receive the necessary "delta" (the small file needed to transition from the old version to the new one). This confirms the phone is permanently stuck on this outdated and potentially insecure version. strongly regret this purchase and cannot wait to replace this phone with a new one bought elsewhere. Please do not make the same mistake.

Great camera. Far beyond what I need in a smartphone. The AI is intrusive and was disabled upon phone's activation. The buttons are far too subtle and should stand out more on the bezel. I have not had time to measure battery life but Samsung has a great record on this front so not worried. I miss the rounded screen and sleeker contours of the s9 but enjoy the additional usable screen real-estate.

Good purchase, in good condition and work as expected

Love this phone. I got such a great deal on it, and even though it was renewed, it appeared to be brand new. It also operates like it's brand new. The screen had no scratches, and the software operated just as expected. It has a great amount of storage space for my videos before I upload them to Amazon or YouTube. It was also very easy to set up. I just followed the instructions and in a few minutes my phone was working. The features are really amazing, one of my favorites if being able to take a picture and circle it and have Google find more information on the image. The phone came unlocked as described, and I was able to get an eSIM from T-Mobile in minutes to start making calls. The phone quality has been very durable we haven't had to replace anything, even after dropping it several times.

Gem of a phone. Looks brand new. Easy to use. 256 gb storage seems to be enough, even in the long run. Superb AI features. Awesome camera. Love it!!

This is the second Samsung "Renewed" I’ve purchased recently, and once again the device I received did not match the listing. This phone was not unlocked and cannot be unlocked. Although it was advertised as a U.S. Version and fully unlocked, the phone showed multiple serious problems right out of the box. The software build was not a standard release version, and the device failed activation on the two carriers I tested, networks that normally work immediately with unlocked Samsung models. After spending hours troubleshooting with Samsung and the original phone carrier, it became clear that the phone’s software configuration and CSC were incorrect, preventing normal updates and blocking activation. The IMEI also could not be validated for use on any network, which made the device unusable as an unlocked model. None of these issues should be present on a properly renewed U.S. version S24+. The phone will never be usable, will never receive updates because of the IMEI status. The listing describes a functional, unlocked phone, but the one I received could not activate, could not update, and could not operate on any carrier. For a premium device, this was a major disappointment, and the product I received did not match the description in critical ways.
