I Thought I Wouldnโt Like It.
Let me first say that this is NOT a paid review. Iโd actually had never heard of this brand till I was searching for a larger monitor. Iโve got to say this monitor blows me away. The picture is super clear (being an OLED it should be), the size of then screen is actually not as โlargeโ as I thought (your eyes donโt have far to track on screen) I use it strictly for video games so I canโt speak to how it performs using a pc but at 120fps Call of Duty runs smooth. The ONLY downside to this monitor isnโt even with the monitor at allโฆyou have to purchase the stand (which is RGB) separately. Installation was very simple. Overall if youโre looking for a โlargerโ OLED monitor to perform at a high level for video games Iโd HIGHLY recommend this monitor. I lucked out with a flash sale and got the monitor for 799 and the stand for 99.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Specs are great, but don't expect anything past the numbers. I purchased (3) of the 42" OLED monitors in "Black" for a sim racing system I have. After weeks of research I decided to go with the KTC based on specs to value. HUGE Mistake!!! To no fault of KTC or Amazon I missed the Black Friday sale for personal reasons but ended up buying the very next morning only 4 hours after the sale ended. The price as expected went up but KTC had a $200 "Coupon" attached to make them after Black Friday, making them the same price as the "Black Friday Sale" price. Turns out this is the price 95% of the time as I have learned, so it is not much of a discount if that's what you pay all the time. Sorry, I am digressing. My problems starts now...I needed (3) monitors and the coupon was only good for one at a time apparently. Soooo I bought one, had my wife buy one on her own account at the coupon price, and I paid full price for the 3rd one for $200 more. I contaced Amazon customer service and they were great. They we the only ones that can reach out to KTC as I was told, so it was in their hands to ask for the 3rd monitor to be discounted as well. I did not think that would be an issue being just 4 hours earlier they were at that price with no purchase limits. Not only did I NOT hear back from them EVER, but I received the monitors in the mean time while still waiting for a responce on the $200 discount. $2,546 woth of monitors purchased, I would think $200 is a small ask. Here we are 2 weeks later and NOT A WORD from KTC. Issue number two. ALL (3) monitors showed up in "white" and NOT "Black" as I ordered. Devistated after opening the first box and seeing this error, I went back to my oders to verified I had not made the mistake when ordering them. Nope, it wasn't me, but KTC just not paying attention and shipping the wrong color monitors. Errors happen, but this really makes no sense. The two I ordered came in white. You would think the one my wife ordered from a separate account would be in the correct color, but that's a big fat NOPE as well. All (3) came in white. Help me make sense of them not respond to a simple $200 refund request, but ship me (3) monitors in the wrong color that sell for $200 EACH more just because they are "white". But wait, it gets better. I decided to return all (3) monitors being "white" and not "black" and not being a fit for my room and needs. I did as I always do to initiate a return with Amazon and ended up being forced to pay $59.00 for "Return Shipping". This was not $59.00 for all 3 monitors....Noooo, $59.00 EACH. So now I am out $177 for monitors I ordered that arrived in the wrong color due to KTC's error and NOT mine! Do you think I can get a responce after messaging them through Amazon? You guessed it...NOPE! I only opened one box and the other two completely untouched by the way, so they are getting 2 new and 1 opened with not a finger print on it new monitors at the low cost of making$177 on me to ship them back. Aaaaaaand, as of today 12/21/24, which it "7" days after the returned items were handed over to UPS store, I still have not received a dime of $2,546 less the $177 shipping costs to return the items. Bottom line is...Even if the product was amazing, this experience should serve as a stern warning that if you need help, or God forbid a return...consider yourself warned!!! I recommend paying a little more to get a lot more in the end from a MUCH BETTER RUN COMPANY.

Amazing monitor for 700 bucks
I'm gonna compare it to the s95d samsung tv. I liked the KTC so much that I wanted the absolute best for gaming, the s95d. Awesome screen especially for 700. People complaining about the sound quality. Well the s95d is known for having descent speakers and I really felt the KTC quality was quite comparable to the s95d. I couldn't make a fair comparison without putting them side-to-side. It took time, but I would now say the s95d speakers are actually not as as good. In fact, these speakers KTC has are the best desktop speakers I've ever heard in a tv or (especially monitor). The bass is excellent (best part), music sounds exceptional, sounds great for gaming. I was planning on returning the KTC, but decided not too. Going for a two monitor setup. Only complaint, don't bother with a monitor stand. This is really a tv with a DVR, less a monitor. Just get the tv stand ready. In fact, maybe don't get a monitor, just get a tv, instead. Hdmi can do 120hz. It was one of the toughest things to unload on my bed desk. The ultimate Olympic press. btw, I go to a gym and workout a bit. So, yea, good monitor, tough ass workout. So, like not something for your desk. Can't comment on support as I haven't had to use it. What is the point of using a computer monitor anymore anyways Monitors are becoming a thing of the past. Love the speakers though. Only loving the monitor more. only 700 bucks pretty good.

No Customer Support
The monitor is itself is great except for the pixel refresher feature and screen dimmer that can't be turned off. KTC falsely advertises that you can update the monitor via USB with a software update. I've scoured their Chinese website, which has no English version, and the part of their page where there's suppose to be product support, there's nothing. It can't be clicked on even in different web browsers. So this will be my first and last time I ever buy from KTC. As soon as this monitor annoys me enough I'll just go buy from LG themselves.

Bezeless 4k oLED. Short power cable.
very clear. the 4h old monitor exposes the screen to cracks if you grab it by the front. you'll need to grab the back side with minimal soft pressure on the front because the whole front and sides are the screen itself and well. you'll need to plan and use stable pillows (use the strong foam from the box). hmm not sure how to control some stuff yet but oled is definitely best. been needing this for reading as well. nothing else is as clear as Oled

Amazing OLED panels, great value
Absolutely amazing screen. I bought 3 42in OLED panels for a triple screen racing simrig. OLED colors are just as expected. They do easily output 138Hz. The firmware level software is decent, has a few OLED pixel restoration options that can be set to automatically run if needed. The packaging is high quality and well done, so the monitors are very well protected. My only callouts, not negatives, are: I did notice that these are much heavier than something like a movie/TV focused OLED panel. The back side seems to have a lot on it. The design makes it slightly harder to hold/lift because the edges of the OLED panel itself are "unsupported", but there are to be fair a lot of warnings on how to lift it in the manual and on the panels themselves. Also, having 3 panels side by side makes the remotes act a bit weird, I think the remotes are universal and not coded to the specific panel they are shipped with, so if you have multiple panels, a remote click might register on one or multiple panels. Not a big deal, it's simply due to my multi-panel setup.

No Power Button
Worst Monitor ever. I never write reviews but this monitor has been so frustrating, I am making an exception. It's picture is fine but the big issue is a lack of a power button. You must use the remote and you have to point it at the exact right spot. If you do this correctly, the monitor still takes 5 to 10 seconds to start. So if your aim is good the monitor will start on the first try otherwise you can battle with it for 5 to 10 minutes. Why a simple power button wasn't added to monitor is beyond me. The frustration I've had at times simple trying to turn it on has made it my most hated computer accessory ever. Avoid if you want to keep you Blood Pressure under control.

Packaging not great
I am only giving this 3 stars because the packaging this arrived in was in terrible shape. The box was ripped and had holes in it. It looked used. That part is unneceptable given the price tag of this monitor and the fact that I ordered it as a "new" not a "used" item. I had to equally screw back in a screw that fell out of the monitor itself. Again, this is unacceptable. It gets 3 stars because once the monitor was powered up, it displayed beautifully. And it was very simple to set up. Literally a plug and play type situation. This, I really appreciate. No downloading of software immediately or hours of aggravating set up required. The only adjuments to make, are to your personal ones when it comes to color settings. The monitor itself displays great and runs smoothe which was refreshing. I just hope this company improves on their quality control standards.
