At last a gluten free pizza base that isn't like cardboard and tastes good too.

Misleading packaging.
Ok, so I've recently been diagnosed as wheat & dairy intolerant and after seeing the prices of gluten free bread these days, the decision was made to look into making my own bread. I researched bread mixes & I found this Glebe farm one and after reading the ingredients & reviews, thought I'd struck gold, so I forked out ยฃ100 for a bread maker & ordered 5 packs of bread mix to get me going. Sadly this bread mix is not all I was lead to believe it was. Firstly when reading the instructions it states remove the yeast packet from the bag, but upon opening the bag I could not find a yeast packet. Assuming I was going blind, I opened another one. Still no yeast. I checked the packaging again & it defiantly stated in several places that there was the yeast included in the packaging. I rang customer services to ask if something had been missed & was told that the yeast is not included so I'd have to go out & find (gluten free) yeast. After pointing out that the description on the website & also on no less than 3 places on the packaging stated it was included, it was finally established that there is a printing error on the bag & that there was no yeast supposed to be included. So, off to the shops I go to find the yeast. Then came the issue of how much to use. I attempted the 8.5g that the packaging had stated should be included, but my bread came out like a door stop. I tried again, this time using 3 teaspoons based on another recipe. Slightly larger brick was now cooking away. Then it came to light upon reading the bread maker guide that the water should be "between 21 & 28 degrees" and not "warm water" like the Glebe farm instructions stated, so by me using what I assumed was "warm" water, I'd potentially killed my yeast before it's even started mixing. 3 bags down & the next attempt came out almost edible but still very heavy and not very big. I'm now on mix number 4 & still trying to find a way to make the most of what I have, but honestly this experience has left me rather upset that I've wasted so much time (3.5 hours per "loaf") and money (ยฃ115 and counting) and yet have not managed to make anything remotely edible. It doesn't even smell like bread when it's baking which is concerning. Once I've used the last of these mixes I'll either buy another brand of just get the ingredients to make another bread recipe from scratch as this was supposed to be a cost & time cutting exercise but all it has done is left me with a really bad taste in my mouth (pun totally intended).

Disappointing
Disliked having to go and buy yeast and rice syrup to make a pizza base on something sold as a bread and pizza base mix. Could have just bought a bag of gluten free flour instead. Not a fantastic pizza base either, worst iโve ever made.
