Handy and great quality.
Saw one like this on a cooking show. I was not disappointed. The size comes in handy and the handles that retract are sturdy. The shape allows easy washing of asparagus and other vegetables that are usually not cut up. It drains well and doesn't retain extra water. It has survived many washes in the dishwasher which is so convenient. Great price for a great product. You will never know how much you need one until you get one.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It fit the size of my kitchen sink. The price was reasonable also. It drained well.

Sink armed colander.
I really like this colander. The adjustable arms are great. It is nice to take to the garden and bring right in to wash your vegetables. Would recommend highly.

Very sturdy at full extension. Sharp edges.
Item is very sturdy at full extension. would have no trouble holding a dozen potatoes or more. Only issue i have is 1- some of the edges are sharp. Some people may get cut if not careful. easy fix- get a 120 gritt sanding pad at HD or amazon for $4 and buff down the sharp pieces 2 the rivets used on the sliding mechanism allows the unit to easily extend and contract. Which means MAYBE when pouring a big bowl of pasta in it it might move. Easy fix- use pliers to crush one rivet tight. 3- not a problem, but beware it might scratch some sink lips. depends on your type of sink. easy fix- get a product called "plastic dip" and coat the handles of the strainer. Im buying a second one just to keep as a backup.

Fits my sink perfectly for straining food or rinsing fruit and vegetables
Since i don't have a disposal because of my septic tank, my drain fills up with debris every few minutes. This collander allows me to empty broths and soups into the sink and it strains out the material that would normally block my drain. It also fits the sink perfectly. I did alot of research on these collanders for the sink and this one was definitely the most preferred. I can see why. It is rather large and i could envision a second smaller one for my other sink. Overall, I am very pleased.
