Performed as expected. I would recommend it to others that want a hob media reactor as opposed to inside the tank. Saves space.

First item never arrived. Amazon resent me the item thankful on their part that I receive the item but the new item I receive was defective so I had to return it in the return is taking more than three weeks. Would’ve wish that it wasn’t effective because he did seem like a good reactor, but with the waiting that I had to happen because the package got lost and never delivered and then a new package was sent out never arriving the day was supposed to arrive late and when I opened the package, the item was defective in one of the hoses. Connectors wouldn’t stay on tight. It was loose which it releases water didn’t even take the chance of filling it up because I knew what would happen put it back in the box sent it back still waiting for a refund. I’ll see this. It looks like a good product. I’m giving it four star because of the troubles I had with it

I am currently using this in my RedSea Nano to run some Purigen resin and it is perfect for it. I love that the input and output are on the top of the reactor so running lines is easy and quick. The reactor is well-designed and creates a nice turbulent flow for the media to cycle in. So far not a single issue with it. It is very well constructed and seems like it will last a long time. I did have to add my own finer mesh to it since the Purigen has a very tiny particle size, but that was trivial and easy to do.

I added this media reactor to my reef tank sump to run carbon, and it works perfectly. I connected it to my manifold, and I’m impressed with the build quality of the reactor chamber—very sturdy and well-made. The adjustable inlet and outlet fittings make it easy to dial in the flow just right. The up-flow design ensures the media gets good water circulation, and the low-profile mount keeps it from taking up too much space. Ideal for adding extra filtration without a bulky setup.
