I was able to make it work by using my wife's temporary jack to boost each car up a couple inches and then slide this under. Once that was done couldn't be happier with this jack. The two piece handle is strong and feels great, lifting is a snap, you can drop at any speed you want by twisting the handle, and it didn't move or feel unsteady once both cars were in the air. I got a 3 ton jack because the ELR weighs close to 5000 lbs, so everytime I used a 2 ton jack it made me nervous. Probably overkill and you may not have to worry about a coupe that weights 5000 lbs, so this might be the ideal jack for you.
