This is worst quality product I have ever received
I would like to inform you that the item I ordered was defective. As soon as I turned it on for the first time, it started producing smoke and a strong burning smell came from the wires. This was very dangerous and unacceptable. This is the worst quality product I have ever received, and I am concerned about safety. I would like to return the item and receive a full refund as soon as possible. Please arrange the return collection and confirm the refund process. Thank you.

Excellent cleaning power! Tank size is a pro/con trade off.
Overall, this is an excellent carpet cleaner. The actual cleaning power is exceptional! Definitely cleans better than previous home carpet cleaners we have had, and seems to just as good of a job as the "rent for a day" models available. All the attachments you need are included and are easy to use. Now for the pro/con situation. This carpet cleaner is much lighter weight and easier to maneuver than other brands, so that's a pro. However, that seems to be achieved by making the water tanks small. I did not mind the small tanks at all while just using the hose attachment to clean upholstery. I felt like I got a very reasonable amount of run time in before I had to change tanks. However, when I switched to floor mode to clean a medium size area rug, I had to empty/refill the tanks multiple times. So that it the con. I will say, my rug had not been cleaned for a while and required multiple passes. I do think the lighter weight and ease of use of the machine will make me more inclined to clean the carpets more frequently, in which case they should be less dirty. If the carpets are less dirty, they should require less wet passes, which should make the smaller tanks less of an issue. I originally had this listed as another "con" but after further internet investigation I found a solution to my complaint. Based on the paper instruction, I was under the impression that "quick dry" mode was for lightly soiled carpets and delivered less cleaning solution. However "quick dry" mode is actually suction only! So after you clean in "deep clean" mode, make sure you switch over to "quick dry" mode and do some additional passes to suck further moisture out of your carpets! Overall, the cleaning power and suction of this machine are outstanding and far outweigh any complaint about tank size. The tank size is both a pro and a con because, while it requires frequent emptying/refilling in floor cleaning mode, it also makes the machine lightweight and maneuverable.

Shark killed it!
Where to start? I have 4 dogs. Enough said. Cleaning my carpets is a pretty regular chore for me each month. I have always been loyal to one brand, mostly because said company supports rescue pets. And I tend to go through machines almost every other year. It has nothing to do with brand or quality, but because I use the Hell out of them. Enough about me, let get to the problem at hand. 12 year old boxer just started a new medicine. It's been rough getting his tummy to adjust. In one night we accumulated 9 vomit stains between my room and down tje hall. I got about 1/3 of just my room done before my trusty 3 year old machine just stopped. Amazon overnight to the rescue!! I never owned a Shark brand shampooer. Like I said, I was total brand snob. But this machine was 100 bucks less than replacing my old machine. The reviews looked good. And at the price point if 150, even it it only lasts me a year, I would be getting my money worth. Small confession, my need to shampoo all the time, had very little to do with all the dogs. It's me. I'm the problem. I like things clean. Some people (my close friends and family) may even say I'm a bit OCD. Back to this Shark. LOVE IT!! I almost hate to admit it, but I think this may be my new brand. I got the blue one without the built on attachments, because I have a small hand shampoo machine that I love. Pros: This machine is light weight. Easy to push/pull. I appreciate having the option to do a quick dry. Low profile so I can get under my nightstands. Thick brushes that seem to get a deep scrub, and not just surface spots. Like how there is no trigger to squeeze to dispense solution water. It's a simple push forward to spray and pull back to suck up the water. The solution that came with the cleaner did a great job and each stain only needed a couple passes. Taking apart the machine to clean the filter and brush was easy because everything is accessible. Now the cons: small tank. May not be a deal breaker for most. But I gotta be honest, this part was almost annoying. The clean water and the dirty water tank is about half the size of my old machine. I knew that when I purchased it, and thought as long as it does a great job, I'll get over it. Ugh, I'm sure I will in time. Between shampooing and having to full and dump 4 times, I'm pretty sure I got my steps in today. I ended up using the whole bottle that came with the machine. And that's fine, I just wasn't thinking about how small the tanks are. At least I now know, to order a big bottle because the 12oz only did my room and the hallway. Luckily my old dog seems to have adjusted to his meds, so he won't bankrupt me just from purchasing shampoo. Conclusion: This was my first go at using it and I'm impressed with how well it cleaned. As for how long it will last someone who cleans often, like me, time will tell.
