They work!
Love anything zesty paws. I give these to both of my dogs "Labraheeler age 9" and "Blue Heeler age 3". On stormy nights or Fourth of July, I give them 2 each, to help calm them down from thunder and fireworks. Doesn't make them lethargic. Just knocks the edge off enough for them to calm down a bit. Love these!

Helps take the edge off without overdoing it
We use these for our rescue dog who has some anxiety from his past, and theyโve made a noticeable difference. What I like: Helps calm him without making him overly sleepy Easy to give and he takes them without a problem Good for everyday stress or situations that might trigger anxiety Things to know: Itโs not an instant fixโmore of a gentle, gradual support Results may vary depending on your dog Works best when used consistently Who this is good for: Dogs with mild to moderate anxiety Situations like separation, storms, or new environments Pet owners looking for a more natural calming option Final thoughts: These donโt completely eliminate anxiety, but they definitely take the edge off. For us, itโs been a helpful part of keeping our dog more comfortable and relaxed.

Works Pretty Well
Short Version: Pup loves the taste, it works decently well. We have a 20 pound Shiba almost a year old. Based on her weight the recommended does is one treat, which has very little noticeable difference. It caaan make her more calm but she can still have big spurts of energy or craziness. Could be that her puppy excitement overpowers the treat. My brother come over once after we had given her a treat, and she went crazy, peeing on the floor from excitement. We tried two treats, monitored her carefully just in case and she was fine, but two treats is definitely much more effective. She is much calmer, more likely to nap too. She loves the taste of it too. Also the treat is pretty big but it does fit inside even a puppy sized Kong toy which was a plus for us.

Iโm not sure what to say but Iโve got a story
oh boy, do I have a story to share! My furry friend, who usually eats everything from lint off the floor to my shoes (true story), made me question if these bites would pass her taste test. At first, I wasn't sure if she'd enjoy the taste. I mean, who can predict a dog's palate, right? But I decided to give it a shot and offered her one in the morning for a week straight. To my surprise, her behavior remained unchanged. Not one to give up easily, I upped the ante and tried two bites โ one in the AM and one in the PM. Still, no noticeable difference in her anxiety levels. Then came the day of dread โ nail clipping. If you've ever tried this with a dog who despises it, you know the struggle. That's when my partner had a brilliant idea. They crushed up two of these Peanut Butter Calming Bites and, lo and behold, our pup miraculously calmed down for the entire nail-clipping session. We continued crushing them up, and it did seem like she was acting calmer, but honestly, it's hard to say if it was the bites or her mind playing tricks on her. Dogs are mysterious creatures, aren't they? Now, here's the part you might want to watch out for: if your dog has a sensitive tummy, these might not be the right choice. Our girl turned into a little gas factory, and we endured a month of daily "serenades." ๐ถ๐จ In the end, Peanut Butter Calming Bites turned out to be a mixed bag of tricks for us. They might not have worked like magic for our dog's anxiety, but they did provide some unexpected relief during nail-clipping nightmares. Just remember, every pup is unique, so your mileage may vary! ๐๐ฅ #DogTreats #CalmingBites #FurryFriendAnxiety

SAVED OUR DOG'S LIFE!!
We love this and other products by Zesty Paws BECAUSE IT SAVED OUR DOG! Our Mischka, a rare breed Karelian Bear Dog developed a low hormone thyroid problem. By the time the vet got it under control her immune system was terribly out of whack. The vet was at a loss and didn't know what to do. He kept giving her lotions because she had lost almost all her hair and itched terribly all over. On a 60-pound dog a tube of lotion isnโt going to do much. She had scaly patches all over her that were red and inflamed and itching. She licked herself constantly to try and relieve the problem. Her skin was pink and smelled terrible. Her eyes had glazed over to the point that we thought she had cataracts and we thought we would have to put her down. She was miserable. and had a terrible life-threatening case of Candida. I figured this out by researching the internet. It happens when their digestive system and immune system is whacked out. We tried everything to help her. Finally, I found a sight that suggested a probiotic, turmeric, baths in anti-itch medicated shampoo and then rinsing with apple cider vinegar all over. After 6 months of trying everything and hundreds of dollars in vet bills we decided if this didn't work we would have to put her down. She had lost so much weight she was half her normal size and it was cruel to have her in such miserable shape. We had lost two others dogs in the last year to cancer and didn't want to lose another but we couldn't let her suffer much more. We began by giving her a bath every day and rinsing her in apple cider vinegar. She wasn't happy with us but we kept going. We changed her bedding every week. We should have changed it more but decided to wait and see if this would work. We would scrub her with a soft bath brush to make sure we got all the scales off each time in order to let her skin dry out and the vinegar get to it. We didn't have to worry about hair because it was almost all gone. We never rinsed the vinegar off nor did we dry her afterwards. We just let her run out in the yard to get dry. It was summer so that helped. After the 1st week she was looking better. The 2nd week she got even better. We were giving her the Zesty Paws Turmeric Curcumin Bites, Zesty Paws 5 in 1 Multi-vitamin Bites, Zesty Paws Calming Bites, Zesty Paws Mobility Bites and Zesty Paws Allergy Immune Supplement Bites. We were also giving her a separate probiotic for her digestive system, thyroid pills, Benadryl, and another chondroitin glucosamine pill so we had to buy the pill pockets or she would spit them out. Yes, it was expensive but cheaper than the vet bills. Besides, she is worth every penny. After two weeks we switched her to a bath every week and continued the medications and switching out her bedding. We were seeing a breakthrough. After 5 weeks her beautify black and white hair started growing back in and she was no longer pink all over and itching. She was still pink under her legs so we kept going. After 2 months all the pink was gone her skin was covered with hair and she no longer itched. Her eyes were clear and she began acting like she did when she was 5 years old. She is great now. Her beautiful hair is once again thick, soft and shiny and she has gained back her weight. Oh, I forgot to tell you she is 14 ยฝ years old. THANK YOU ZESTY PAWS FOR GIVING US BACK OUR BABY!!!!

Great for relaxing our older Lab in the evenings!
These calming chews are perfect for our old lab ....he has had problems sleeping through the night , gets up and starts walking around not knowing what he's doing. He gets a couple of these about 20 minutes before his bedtime and he sleeps all night! We all get a good nights sleep! (Also works for long car rides to the lake)

Works great
I was very skeptical if they were going to work for my dogs. One is a medium sized Pug and the other a medium sized Chihuahua. I gave them the treats as recommended on the packaging. The first day I gave it to them about 30 mins before I was going to leave. I had just taken them out and they were on an empty stomach. In literally a few minutes my pug was calm and chill on my bed. Normally she's pacing back and fourth scratching at my thighs and wimpering when I'm getting ready to leave. However with the treats she stays calm and just lays on my bed watching me get ready. I don't know how long they lasted because I only give it to them when I leave for work (I work 8 hrs) and when I came back home they are back to normal. My Chihuahua was also very calm she doesn't pace she just cries when I leave but the treats helped calm her down and she just laid on the couch. The second day I gave them the treats with food and they didn't work at all so maybe the trick is to give it them on an empty stomach before they eat. My pug doesn't always like the treats but she eats them and my Chihuahua will spit it out at first but then eat it when I walk away. I suspect they don't taste super good. They smell like a combination of dog treats and herbs. They also crumble easily so if your dog doesn't have strong teeth they can still chew it and if they have no teeth you can crumble them and feed it like that. All in all I will definitely order again once they are finished cause they work and I'm happy.

All but one lol
It's working wonderfully for some of the more anxious of my pack. Had to get one of the ones with no chicken or turkey duel to allergy and she love the flavor. Have another who i dont even have to say paw and he places his paw on my hand cause he like the flavor so much. Hilariously the one dog who isn't the picky eater out of them wont touch them at all no clue why but I even had her actually taste it and she spit it out. Will try some of the other non poultry flavors to see if thats the reason or not. Just found it funny that she wont eat it at all lol

Calming
I bought these to help manage my Rottweilers agression and she has been so much better. Still has a few outbursts here and there but its made it much easier to identify moments before they become an issue.

5 Days in and Amazing Improvement in Dog's Anxiety!
Our 14 month dog is very noise sensitive and alert barks a lot. Sometimes she'd get herself so worked up she'd be barking every 5 minutes at any noise, and unable to relax and nap. She's also scared of anyone coming to the door, and certainly anyone coming inside the house. I was getting to the end of my tether, and feeling so bad for her that she seems so anxious all the time. We have been using these for five days now, and I have also been prioritising working with her to reinforce calm through out the day (I work from home). And I've been marking and treating her every time there is a noise that could make her nervous. I noticed a difference right from the first day of giving her a Calm Chew. She seemed less wired, and certain noises that she would normally bark at were being ignored. Now 5 days in, her alert barking has decreased by about 80% from the days when it's particularly bad! It will take longer to train her not to be scared by people coming to the door of course, but I've even noticed that she doesn't get quite so worked up and I'm able to get her to listen to me (whereas before she was simply going crazy barking and not taking any notice of me at all). I've gone from being in tears of frustration at the constant barking, to feeling optimistic that we're moving forward in teaching her how to be relaxed and happy and calm! Which, as anyone who has experienced having an anxious dog knows, is like the sun coming out again after weeks and months of clouds and rain haha. I'll certainly be continuing with these chews and purchasing again when they run out. I think that, combined with proper training, they are a godsend.

Not as helpful as hoped
Border collie was calmed down a little. Was intended for use to help her travel better. Shih Zu didnโt even seem like it affected her. Was used to help her anxiety while getting groomed.
