A must have
The 3000 Ceramic Disc is a must have to finishing the sharpening process. The company should include this disc in the basic kit. When I received my basic kit, I sharpened a couple of kitchen knives and they got (okay) sharp. But when I went over the same knives with this disc there was a unbelievable improvement on the sharpness of the knife.

Ceramic Disk for Hone Sharpener
Puts the final polished edge on a blade sharpened with the Hone sharpener. The edge is polished, a really good sharp edge I first required. I still strop the edge after ceramic polishing. Good enough for kitchen utility.

My knives LOVE me
I received my Hone about 45 minutes ago. Already sharpened my kitchen knives. Going to my dad's to sharpen his knives. I absolutely love this sharpener.

A must addition to the initial kit
great product, an absolute must addition to the one Sharpener. I only use the 1000 grit disk and this. I never use the 400 grit that the Hone comes with

Sharpens as advertised and was not difficult to use
I bought the Hone sharpener with 400# and 1000# grit disks and added the 3000# ceramic disk. I have sharpened my Shun and Jikko knives and I can thoroughly recommend this product. I tried using a wet stone and unless you can get the angle right with consistency it is very difficult. Using the Hone product was easy. It took all the little nicks out of my knives, and I did the paper test to see how well it worked. Amazing!!!

Necessary to complete the basic set, so should’ve been included.
Works ok, but should have been included in the base set, for 170$ CAD, my expectations are high. Good thing you make an awesome line of products!

Good Product and Great Service
