These are GREAT for outdoor sun coverage. The best part is that you can wet the hat and it immediately starts cooling you off...perfect for hot, hot and sunny days! I liked these so much that I have purchased at least 6 of them - mostly for gifts but kept a couple for myself.

I have a smaller head. This fits perfectly and has a draw sting to tighten circumference. It’s light and cool. Great adjustment chin length. Usually, I’m not a “hat person” but need sun protection.

It's a fine hat, I don't find it that cooling though.

I bought this hat for my uncle that lives in Surprise Arizona. The weather most of the time in the summer is over 100°. He likes to take walks, that was always complaining about his hat. So we picked this hat because you can get it wet and put it on and it keeps you cool through the walk. He really loved it.

I heard good things about Mission and tried this out. The "One Size" designation is a bit misleading. I could fit this on my head, but it was very snug and not especially comfortable at its widest setting. It fit my gf perfectly however and is now her favorite sun hat. It's got a very wide brim, the ventilated mesh around the head is super cool, you will really feel the breeze through it. So basically if your head is on the larger size this might not end up working for you. I ended up getting Columbia's Bora Bora hat. Very similar product, also marketed as One Size but ended up fitting my head perfectly with room to spare. If you've got a normal/smaller head this could be a great sun hat for you

I wrote this every day for a week-long trip and it was lightweight, crushable but durable and it retained is shape. I only got to use it briefly in the rain but for the limited experience I had with it in strong weather, it did well keeping my head dry, too.

I bought this for myself to wear on our babymoon to Arizona. It looks dorky but I didn't care, it did an amazing job keeping me cool and shaded in the sun and the heat. Without this there's no way I would have been able to enjoy the Grand Canyon at 7 months pregnant (we only strolled the perimeter, but still, Arizona in June is no joke), or hiking Fay Canyon. I wore the crap out of this the whole vacation and it made a huge difference in my ability to withstand that kind of sun exposure and heat. During my trip to the spa, my husband decided to go for a solo hike, and I insisted he borrow this hat. Friends, I truly believe he would have died without it. He took a wrong turn on a trail and ended up in an area he shouldn't have been in 100 degree heat. This hat protected him when there was no other shade to be had until he was able to get to safety. I will never go warm weather hiking without it again, and I've now bought my husband his own hat.
