My coffee maker has a black cord and the plug sticks straight out from the matte white outlet that's set against my white tile backsplash. While I couldn't change the color of the cord, this compact, high-quality adapter allows me to plug the cord from the bottom so it runs flat down the wall...which is a far more discreet and visually pleasing than plugging the coffee maker directly into the outlet and also allows me to have the appliance sit closer to the wall. I just acquired a new Nespresso machine that will sit next to my coffee maker so just returned to desertcart to order the two outlet down version. I'll post a review of the new version with a photo once it arrives and is installed. To sum up, this adapter is so much more well-designed and executed than your standard, cheap hardware store adapter.
