Where would you even use this expensive little thing, you might be wondering? For me, the answer has been everywhere. All the time. For everything. My '72 VW bus doesn't have a radio - this goes with me. Hotels have crummy radios, so I travel with this one. Working in the yard or under the house? Yup. This thing. Camping? You betcha. Best of all, wine on the patio. That is absolutely a perfect time for this gem to come out and play. Let me tell you exactly why this radio is different from all the other bluetooth radios out there: 1. Incredibly beautiful. The quality is evident at first glance. 2. Tiny tiny size and big big sound. This means you can take it *everywhere* and you will love listening to it. 3. Whaaaaat? Your phone died or spotify isn't getting a good data connection?! No worries, the fm radio reception is amazing. Switch back to bluetooth when you're back to civilization. 4. No external antennae to fork with. 5. Little rubber feet on the bottom - you'd be surprised the difference those make. 6. Charges with a micro USB and the charge lasts figuratively forever, but to put it into perspective: I leave the radio playing for my dogs when I go to the office, then I take it in my room when I get home to change into my jogging clothes, then into the kitchen to cook dinner, then into my living room while I grade papers, then... you get the idea. I charge it every 3 days or so. Amazing. 7. It will fill you with warm fuzzy feelings. Others make you feel crummy because they're crummy. Cheap plastic crap drains the soul. Splurge on this one and you'll never have to buy another - cheaper in the long run and gives the landfills a much-needed break. I've had this precious machine a little over a year and it is *flawless*. I recently bought a second radio for my Dad's 70th birthday present. It arrived with a loose wire for the volume control, but Amazon replaced it without issue, and the replacement is just as flawless as the very first one I owned. Love this thing!

Ok so this thing has PHENOMENAL battery life. I received it on 12/21, charged it up, and have consistently used it for an average of ~3-4 hours a day since (it's now 1/7) and it STILL hasnt died. Havent charged it a bit since that first day. I'm beginning to wonder if it just generates it's own power while it runs bc this is just astounding. The wood body is really nicen and I really like how the little dial glows when it's on. Gives it that extra vintage vibe. The sound quality is nice, but its gonna sound muffled if you go from listening to headphones or HD or your phone speaker to this speaker. After a few minutes I dont even notice it anymore. It's got pretty good bass capabilities for its size; the bass isnt bumping, but it's good for the sound it puts out. Radio connectivity isnt great. Its able to find my local stations when I turn the dial, but theres always those waves of static. Call it part of the vibe if you want, I dont really listen to radio so it doesnt bother me. (Also, either AM radio is wack in my area or this radio is cursed to only play weird gospel stations). Bluetooth connectivity seems to be pretty short distance: the sound starts to cut out if I take my phone across the room or of theres any obstacles between the speaker and my phone. All in all, it's a lovely little radio, adds a good vibe to the room and plays good music :D

I am an old soul even if in my 30s, I’ve always loved vintage looking items or authetic antiques, so I just instantly loved the way it looked. First off, I was so hesitant to spend what I thought was a lot for a Bluetooth speaker and radio. This went on a lightening deal so saving some I went for it. I’M SO GLAD I DID. Even full price this would’ve been worth it. First, it’s shipped so well. The presentation of this little speaker radio is perfect. It comes with a nicely made pouch, and the pouch with speaker radio inside is put in a very sturdy box. Inside that box is another little box with charging cords, also comes with clear instructions. Second. It’s just beautiful. The craftsmanship is flawless. It’s well made. I love the vintage look and love how the radio dial lights up which adds to the vintage vibe. Third it’s easy to use. I didn’t charge mine to begin with and it’s been fine, been playing about 4 hours without me charging it upon receiving. The sound for such a little speaker is awesome! Clear and crisp and loud. The Bluetooth was picked up with no issues from my iPhone, was easy to connect and stays connected. Be aware of Bluetooth interference and keep the phone away from the speaker or it will be crackly. This will be used a lot, if not daily by me and just looking at this makes me so happy! 😍♥️ Buy this you won’t be disappointed. Also, no issue with the radio and picking up signal, the radio is also clear and crisp. 🙌🏻 Also this is SO PERFECT for playing classic Christmas 🎄 classics by Bing Crosby and other similar artists, it really adds to the ambience and vibe of those beloved classic Christmas songs this little Bluetooth radio ♥️📻

This little unit surprised the heck out of me. So my Grandmother asked me to find a radio for her. She is 87 and very not-tech-savvy in any way, and wanted a simple radio to listen to because she gets tired of listening to the TV while she quilts. Fair enough. So I went looking for a simple radio that she wouldn't have difficulty tuning or operating. This is harder than it seems. Most "radios" are either high-tech "connect it to your phone for amazing sound!" kind of deals, OR they are cheap retro crap made to look retro but in fact made out of plastic and nostalgia. This little guy is an exception. It looks retro, but it's also solidly constructed. It sounds good, and certainly good enough for an 87 year old woman who uses hearing aids. The dial tuning means she can understand how it operates. I've used the Bluetooth connection with my phone, and that also works great. (She won't be using that feature.) AM reception is marginal of course, but FM reception is quite good. This thing may be small, but it's tough, and looks exactly like it should be sitting on an end table or nightstand in a house in the 1950's, which is exactly what she wanted. Complaints? A couple small ones When I use it paired with my phone, incoming calls don't ring. I don't know if this is an issue with this radio, or with my phone. Could be either, although my phone works fine with other bluetooth devices. Just a warning to other users. A second small complaint is the indicator on the tuning dial is quite a bit off. For instance Oregon Public Broadcasting is 91.5 around here, but it actually tunes in about 93 on this radio. Easy enough to compensate for, but somewhat annoying. This is the only real reason it didn't rate five stars. Finally, a reaction to other reviews who complain about the sound. This is not an audiophile's speaker. It is a portable radio that provides clear monophonic sound from broadcast radio or bluetooth. If you thought you were getting anything else you were deluding yourself. Nobody told you it was anything else.

This radio is wood veneer all around unlike the Pawaka radio which is mostly plastic and they advertise it as real wood. However this radio is twice the cost and although the price is high I rather pay more for quality and this radio is quality and is solid build. Most of the Chinese retro radios have very flimsy controls that could break if you're to rough with the controls. The controls for this radio is solid and the tuning is smooth and not wobbly like others. The on off and band switch knobs are also solid and appears they use high quality components where it matters. The radio does not have an FM antenna but picks up stations no problem and clear and good sensitivity. The am is also good but a little bassy and I listen to am most of the time. The lighted dial is excellent and can see in dim or dark which is when I seem to listen to the radio. The blue tooth works good also and enough volume to fill a room but not booming and easy to connect just turn on blue tooth and find it on your device and connects first time. Battery life seems good and uses regular usb. It does have an earphone jack. The bottom has rubber feet which is good and helps with the sound and stabilizes the radio if turned up high. Overall a well designed radio that seems reliable, sounds good, well built with the best controls of all the Chinese radios I have.

this little guy packs a loud sound punch. I love the vintage dials, quality and look. ultra light weight but i wouldn't want to carry around in my backpack all day (you can but I don't want to ruin it, scratches/dropping etc). I have it on my book case in the office, adds some charm and functionality. i love getting the local radio stations and have the ability to play my personal playlists with Bluetooth. Also, I love having the ability to move it around; cordless battery life means I can easily move it into my bedroom/bathroom when the girls are over getting ready for a night out, or add a little retro style in any room of the house. favorite features: REAL WOOD light weight small simple on/off dial. great sound quality volume dial (that I haven't even had to turn ALL the way up yet) modern luxury with adorable vintage shell minimal light output I'm thinking about purchasing a few more.

I bought mine in June 2019, I wish the signal were more consistent. From day one, the radio creates a humming/buzzing sounds while listening to a clear signal radio station. It's become really annoying listening to music or the news and the radio just cuts and hums/buzzes for a few seconds or a minute then suddenly returns to the radio station. I've tested other radios I have to see if it's my location, but my other radios work fine with no signal interruption. Overall, I love the design and look of this radio, but the actual radio function is pretty disappointing. =( DEC 2019 UPDATE: I have not heard anything from this company in terms of helping resolve my issue or offering a solution/exchange. I do not recommend this product since it fails at the basic job of being a radio.

Honestly, I debated between giving 4 or 3 stars but then I thought, "do I want to return it?" and decided 4 stars was the way to go. I like it. It's not the best radio I've ever heard, not by far, the sound quality is about what you'd expect from such a small little thing. The big con of this radio, however, is the static that happens in Bluetooth. While many other reviews state that the Bluetooth has difficulty staying connected or is very staticy I had the experience of the Bluetooth having an irritating low static 'hum' in the background and the silence between songs is rampant with the hum and I must say, it's very annoying. Thankfully you can't hear the hum or any static when the songs are playing. Now for the pros: this is a chic little radio than go with any of my furniture. Whether next to my bed, on my shelf, or on my desk this radio just looks kick-ass. Beyond the visual pleasantness, the sound is very good when it comes to FM radio. I love my local FM radio station so I don't mind switch between Bluetooth and FM when the static gets annoying. Great reception for such a small thing and it does get quite loud but not without hearing obvious static. Hope this review is helpful for other, I quite enjoy the radio despite its flaws! EDIT: Literally an hour after writing this review I had my radio turned on and now matter where I put it in my office I could not longer get the reception I had in my bedroom, turned to bluetooth and it started skipping, went back to FM, started skipping. Sad cause I love this tiny little device but at this point the sound quality and skipping just isn't worth the cute look. :(
