No, it seems to be dual band. Specifically, it uses GSM 900 / 1800Mhz, which means it works in Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East and Africa. It wont work in the US, Canada, Mexico and most South American countries. If you take a look at this website: http://www.worldtimezone.com/gsm.html the Nokia 108 will work in the regions marked in purple. The regions it wont work in, are marked in amber.
