Magnifying lamp
Perfect for my small sewing space. The light has a very sturdy clamp that attaches to your desk. The arm extends in various directions, and the light turns in multiple positions. There are multiple brightness settings. It works great for my needs and is just as it is described.

A nice tool for fine work
I bought this to use on an avionics wiring project. It has been invaluable for inspecting the fitting of 22ga wire into high density D-sub pins. I can see if the wire is to the inspection hole and more importantly if there are any stray whiskers that would cause a pin to pin short. My only complainant is that the arm is just a tad too short. Another 6 inches would be perfect for allowing movement around the bench and mock up panel.

I use this DAILY
I literally use this lamp daily.I initially got it for doing Diamond painting, to enlarge the tiny symbols. But I use it daily for crafting! I also use it for reading at night, because the focused light hits the pages just right and I don't disturb anyone with the light. I don't always use the magnification lens but its handy to have.

Hard to use
Perhaps this is just expectation error on my part, but I got this specifically for the light/magnification combination to see a small gap inside an electronic device. What I found is that it is remarkably hard to get the angle necessary to have the magnification be in focus. The light works fine :). The shifting magnification by angle gives me headaches. Caveat emptor. Or maybe just YMMV.

Good quality lamp. Double check overhang length.
I purchased this lamp for my drafting table. Mistakenly, I purchased this lamp, which was too small and did not have enough length to overhang the size of my table. That being said, it was very good quality I love the different lighting intensities, and the magnification was fantastic, I sent it back and will eventually get a lamp that has a larger arm that will accommodate my larger table
