Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine, 1000mAh Battery, Travel Sleep, Cream

If I had an Oprah-style "Favorite Things" list, this noise machine would be at the top of it! My entire family sleeps with white noise. (I actually prefer the sound of "brown noise," but I'll use "white noise" as a generic term to cover all ambient background noises). We have noise machines in every bedroom. We've used bathroom fans for white noise, but those wear out and have to be replaced, and that is also a fire hazard. On my phone, I use the Ambiance app. For sleep, I like having a machine I can move to different spots in the room and house. I also love white noise when I need to read, write, or do any work that requires focus and concentration. When I'm working on my laptop, I have a white noise website in the background. Needless to say, I use white noise a lot, on a daily basis, and for various reasons. I also find that white noise makes travel more pleasant. We travel a lot for work, kids' sports, leisure, etc., and I hate how much space the white noise machines take in the suitcases, especially when booking a place with more than one room for our big crew. Hotels can be noisy, and their bathroom fans are hit-and-miss. Sometimes they are tied in with the lights, which doesn't work for nighttime noise, and sometimes they don't even have a fan at all. I've used my phone or iPad for background noise at night when traveling, but then I can't be on it (like if I want white noise for the kids to fall asleep to while I stay up later to watch something on my phone). Enter...the "Dreamegg." I stumbled across this beauty and was intrigued and ordered it, but I was waiting for the catch. SPOILER ALERT: there isn't one!!! I've had this for a couple weeks and like it so much that I just ordered another one for my office. I will likely end up getting one for every bedroom in my house. So far, it works perfectly and the quality is great. It is lightweight, compact, and will be SO convenient for traveling. I love that it doesn't glow at night, because I like it dark when I sleep. I was a bit surprised that it didn't come with a power block, but if, like most people, you have a plethora of power blocks, that isn't a big deal. The cord is shorter than I would like, but again, I have many extra cords so that doesn't deter me either. This noise machine has a wide variety of sounds you can cycle through (the typical white noise variations, water, crickets, fire, and even lullabies), and some great soothing options that aren't obnoxious. I cycle through them in my attached video. It has options for 30, 60, or 90 minute timers if you don't like to let it run all day or night. I'm impressed by the battery life. I've only charged it once since I got it a couple weeks ago. I've used it for several nights and once even forgot to turn it off all day, and it is still going strong. This is perfect for: * babies or young kids (great gift for a new or expectant mom!) * blocking out hotel noises * those who like to travel light * drowning out TV or other household noises (if you're an early-bird in a house of night owls) * athletes who need a good night's rest before a big competition * increased focus for reading, study, grading papers, etc. * anyone who wants a peaceful, ambient vibe This is by far my favorite product of the year and it is well worth the cost. The Dreamegg is working wonderfully for my family. We've taken it with us on several trips already, and it really helps create an environment conducive to good sleep when my family of 4 (including an adult who snores) has to share a hotel room. I love that it's so small and portable, but the sound it produces is "big" enough to fill the room. The device holds its charge really well, so that we're able to get several nights' use on one charge. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought two of these little tiny white noise machines; one for home and one for travel. They are very small, lightweight, and take up almost no space on your nightstand or in your luggage. There are a variety of sounds to choose from including more than one frequency of white noise. I find that some places need a high frequency to mask ambient noise, where other places need a lower frequency to drown out noises. Using these little machines at home and on the road has improved my sleep no matter where I am. I have extremely sensitive hearing and use these to keep me asleep when my partner is awake and moving through the house. It also blocks snoring! I also find that I use the white noise when I am awake and need to focus on the project at hand. I use them much more than I thought I would. I am impressed by how long the batteries last before needing a recharge (usb C). To make the batteries last the longest, I use the timer function. My travel one has taken a beating and is still holding up well, perfectly functional and almost no visible dings because of the outer coating. Buying these in a two pack was totally worth it and still cheaper than many other larger options. The two I got have lasted over a year of daily use.

This sound machine is tiny but the sound is so good! Will travel well. Easy to befin using and to charge.

I bought the 2-pack but one was completely non-functional no matter what troubleshooting I did. I contacted customer service and they emailed back within about 2 hours. They sent me tips but still didn't work. They sent out a replacement the next day... problem solved. Excellent customer service (responsive, helpful, pleasant, fast). The sound machines themselves are very compact and the white noise settings are what I like: loud, deep and soothing. Battery life is at least 10 hours. I have not tested beyond that before charging for the next night. Very nice product. I give it 4 stars due to quality control issues having bought a 2-pack and 1 not working. 5-star device, 10-star customer service! Highly Recommend

I can’t sleep well when I travel, I hear everything. So I got this portable white Noise Machine. It’s the perfect size, fits in my purse or carry on bag. Don’t let the size fool you, it has several sounds I can easily fall asleep to, it does stop after a few hours but by that time I’m sound asleep. No battery needed, just a charge that last. This is not an expensive and well worth a good night sleep. This is my top pick!!

I recently moved and was living in a temporary apartment NEXT TO A BABY. This baby was rude AF just crying at all hours. Also, my upstairs neighbors are incapable of walking around quietly. Since it's a whole family, they walk around at all hours starting at like 2am and not going to bed until midnight! I think they even let the kids roller skate? This place is LOUD 24/7 and I hate it! I also have chronic insomnia. If I get awakened during the night I don't go back to sleep for hours. And once I'm awake, even the tiniest sound (like the cat drinking from her bowl) will disturb me. How I long for the teenage days of sleeping until noon on the weekends while trains passed by! Even though the apartment was temporary, I was running my iphone all night on youtube playing video of the ocean. This was an okay solution, but it didn't seem sustainable running youtube all night. I keep my phone on silent during the night, but if some random text comes in it would interrupt the sound and I would wake up with a low battery and overheated phone and the sound wouldn't even be working. So I found this little thing and it works PERFECTLY!!! I put it on my nightstand near my head, keep it plugged in and it creates enough sound to keep me asleep through all the other noises happening over night. It's so cute, too! I saw some people saying that you have to use the timer. You do not! When you turn it on, if the light is on, that means you have the timer engaged. Press the "time" button until the light is off and it will still be playing sound when you wake up in the morning. No timer necessary unless you want to use it! I liked this so much I bought one for my daughter because she's a nurse and she works nights. (Meaning she sleeps during the day.) I think this is an awesome little gift that doesn't cost much and almost anyone will appreciate it. I'm, not fond of all the sounds and generally, I like the ocean waves the best. However, I was surprised at how much I liked the crickets and the rain sounds! I still use the ocean waves most of the time. The baby rocking sounds and the shush sounds are kind of weird to me, but if that works for a baby then I support it. I don't need all the sounds to apply to me specifically! There are at least 3 on here that I will use, I don't need a ton of variety in my white noise. I also love how small and cute this is! I am definitely going to take it with me the next time I travel! I have trouble sleeping in unfamiliar places with new sounds. This helps me with that and I think I will probably keep this in some form for a very long time! Can't believe I never thought of this sooner!

Excellent item for traveling, especially if you need a reliable white noise machine for sleep. We used this while traveling with our toddler, and it was very effective in helping him fall and stay asleep. The “egg-sized” description is very accurate. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to pack without taking up much space, which makes it ideal for travel. The sound quality is impressive. It gets loud enough to drown out background noise, and the sound options for the most part are great. We especially liked the rain, ocean, and nighttime sounds, which worked really well for sleep. That said, we didn’t find ourselves using the music options as much. They weren’t bad, just not as useful for our needs compared to the nature sounds. I want to call out the outstanding battery life! It lasted through daytime naps and full nights of sleep, which for us can range from 8 to 10 hours. It’s also convenient that it uses the same charger as most phones and electronics. My only minor issue is the controls. The power button and sound control are combined, so it can be a little confusing at first. I occasionally changed the sound when I meant to turn it off. The timer and volume controls are straightforward, and I appreciated the preset timer options. Overall, this is a great value and a very practical purchase, especially for parents, frequent travelers, or light sleepers who need consistent sound on the go.

My son is bothered by everday noises. We used to have a fan in his room to create white noise. It worked, but the fan seemed to dry out the air in the room causing him nosebleeds. Then we purchased. Problem solved! . It has 15 or 16 different sounds ( music, rain, river, birds, fan and ocean), but he only uses the fan and rain audios. It is very small and gentle, but can create an audio that can fill the whole room. I also like the price and the neutral color. Cons : 1- the charging cable is only 12 inches long, so we had to use an extension cable. 2- even though it has a long battery life, when on battery, it stops after a while ( may be few hours) and you need to turn it on again if you need more time. We need continuous audio so we just have it plugged all the time.

It’s really tiny. That’s about the only thing I like about it. I would still have gone for the usual round version which is just 2x bigger than this but is as portable and lightweight still to carry around. The sound is not loud enough and battery life is ok at best, can’t complete one full night on full blast. If you are looking for a serious white noise machine for your baby, get the other Dreamegg

This is so great for travelling, it's so small and worked perfectly. It has a strong speaker and the battery never died throughout the night.
