Finally, a robovac that actually WORKS!
After a disenchanting experience with an early-model Roomba that got stuck on everything and died after only 3 months--and identical results with 3 other brands of robot vacs--I feel like I've finally found a robovac that works the way a vacuum should. I love my Qrevo S! THE GOOD: 1. Setup was easy once I got comfortable with the idea of allowing the Roborock app to have location access. Apparently, it's only needed for setup because I've since turned it off, and it's still working fine. Camera access is not necessary at all if you don't use the QR code for setup. 2. The vacuum function is very quiet (and mopping is virtually silent). No matter the mode, we can comfortably hold a conversation right next to it. After dinner, we just lift our feet and keep chatting while it sucks up crumbs for us. It's been great! 3. It doesn't bump into or get stuck on ANYTHING. As long as you keep the sensors clean, you can pretty much set it and go. I have hardwood flooring, tile, washable area rugs, a regular area rug, a padded rubber mat, high transition strips, and a cat tree with a carpeted base, and this guy can handle all of it. If a cat throws a toy in front of it (or refuses to get out of its way), it'll just go around. In fact, from the very first day, our cats have been completely unphased by our Qrevo S, even when it kicks into a higher suction mode. 4. It doesn't suck up the edges of area rugs. That was a major problem with other brands of robovac, and the curling that resulted became a trip hazard. Not so with the Qrevo! It seems to instinctively know when to lift its little butt to get up onto thicker surfaces, and when to turn down the suction on thin mats, so the edges of all my area rugs are still nice and flat. 5. That first post-vac "slurp" is so satisfying! This is my first robovac with an auto-emptying base, and I'll never go back. I'm not sure if it found a lot of dirt that my regular vac missed, or if it was just inflating the debris bag for the first time, but the "whump" sound delighted me to giggles...because that was the moment I realized I wouldn't have to handle a dustbin. I will never, ever use another vacuum that doesn't empty itself. 6. You can adjust the amount of water the mop uses in each room. This is key when you're mopping hardwood and tile flooring in the same run. 7. You can set the unit to avoid mopping transition strips. We have wooden strips that are pressed in place but not glued or sealed, so this function is super important for us. A word of warning: you have to tell the app where the transition strips are. If you don't, the unit will straddle the strip and attempt to wash it, using the water volume you set for the current floor. So if you're mopping a tile floor that transitions to a wood floor, it will wash your transition strip and several inches of the wood floor with too much water. 8. The mop works with distilled water. We have very hard water, so I was worried about mineral damage, but the unit works great with distilled. 9. It only takes seconds to rinse out the dirty water tank. I had heard horror stories about how funky dirty water tanks can get, but this unit is so easy to dump and rinse after every washing that it hasn't been a problem. THE BAD: 1. The recommended floor cleaner contains tea tree oil, which is highly toxic to cats. There are no other approved cleaning solutions. 2. The mop leaves little pee spots in its path. There aren't very many of them, but there is enough volume in each one to be a potential problem on wood floors if they're left to seep in. 3. The Lidar sensor is so tall that the unit can't fit under most furniture. This is the one and only thing cheap robovacs do better. 4. It doesn't mop all the way to the wall. It does a great job of vacuuming to the edge of the room, but on this model the mop heads don't get all the way there. 5. The mop pads lift up when traveling over area rugs, but not enough. The wet pads will clear thin mats and washable rugs, but will drag across regular rugs, leaving a damp trail behind (and without a cat-safe surfactant at work, it's basically dragging mud across the rug. Ew!) THE UGLY: 1. I'm going to say it again, because it's a legitimate problem: The recommended floor cleaner contains tea tree oil, which is highly toxic to cats. There are no other approved cleaning solutions. There are so many more great things to say about the Qrevo S, but other reviewers have covered those features well enough that they don't need to be said again. Overall, I'm thrilled with my Qrevo S, and I would absolutely recommend it to others. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Impressive robovac that mops and auto cleans itself; significant upgrade to my Roborock Q5+
I have owned a Roborock Q5+ for years and have been happy with it, but when we adopted a dog and manually mopping our hardwood floors became a chore, it was time to upgrade our robovac. I purchased the new Qrevo S when it became available. Roborock has a plethora of different robovac models (too many, in fact), and the Qrevo S isn't their top-of-the-line model by any means. The specs and features seemed impressive compared to my old Q5+: auto mop washing and self-drying (my Q5+ has no mopping feature), 7000Pa suction (my Q5+ is only 2700Pa), obstacle avoidance (which the Q5+ lacks), ultrasonic carpet sensing (not available on the Q5+), quieter operation (63dB vs. 67dB), and new features like the ability to lift the mops by 10mm when encountering carpet and spinning them at 2,000 rpm while cleaning floors. Having never owned a mopping robovac before, I was excited to put this one through its paces. After unboxing (it was very well packaged), I set up the Qrevo S with my existing Roborock app running on my Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android, app version 4.36.10). Upon powering up the Qrevo S and launching the app, it automatically detected the unit and guided me through connecting it to my home Wi-Fi. This, however, is where I ran into an issue: it wouldn’t connect to my home Wi-Fi. It turns out — and this is documented — that the Qrevo S (and most, if not all, of Roborock’s robovac products) doesn’t support 5 GHz Wi-Fi; it only works on 2.4 GHz. In this day and age (it’s almost the year 2025), it's disappointing to find the lack of 5 GHz Wi-Fi support. I had to temporarily disable the 5 GHz radio on my router just to complete the initial Wi-Fi setup. Once completed, I re-enabled 5 GHz on my router, and the Qrevo S continued working fine. It's not a deal breaker, but still annoying nonetheless. Once the unit was connected to my home network, the next step was to map out the home's floor plan via the “quick mapping” feature, where the robovac roams around the house, mapping the layout and rooms. For my home, where the Qrevo S was placed on the first floor, it quickly mapped the floor plan in about 15 minutes. That was quick, compared to my old Q5+. Using the app, you can edit the floor plan by adding, deleting or merging rooms and renaming them, but I found the process somewhat finicky and, at times, frustrating. This isn't a hardware issue but rather a limitation of the app (in this case, Android). There is a certain trick to creating rooms (by adding dividing lines), and sometimes you need to “think outside the box” when placing the dividing lines to separate rooms, which may require multiple attempts. Again, this isn’t a hardware problem, and hopefully the app will improve over time. How did the Qrevo S perform as a robovac? Impressive, especially compared to the Q5+. As mentioned, I’ve never had a robovac with a mop before, and it did a commendable job mopping the hardwood floors and vacuuming carpets. What impressed me most were two features: its ability to automatically stop spinning the mops and slightly raise them when detecting carpets (even high-pile carpets) and its "Reactive Tech" obstacle avoidance technology. The latter was able to detect Murphy’s (our dog) ball/toy in its path, note it on the map/app, and avoid it. I have attached photos as proof. LiDAR-based navigation is standard. The unit also supports multiple floor mappings (up to four floors), but for now, I have it set up for just the main floor. When the robovac finished its cleaning cycle, it automatically found its way back to its multifunctional dock and initiated its docking sequence. Once docked, it began the self-cleaning process: washing and drying the mops, emptying the dustbin (330ml capacity), refilling the water tank on the robovac (80ml capacity) from the clean water bin if needed, and recharging the unit. Summary: Pros: Impressive robovac with automatic self-cleaning, mopping capability, LiDAR-based navigation, and obstacle avoidance. Cons: Only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and editing the floor map in the app can sometimes be frustrating.

Stops working after a few months. So disappointing for such an investment.
I very rarely write reviews but I would have appreciated seeing this before purchasing my Roborock, so I am taking the time to write one. At first glance this vacuum worked great for a few months. And then....we are now approaching 1 year and for 8+ months we have had issues with the vacuum dustbin. It does not empty into the docking station like it is supposed to, so once the vacuum fills up with dust/debris (which easily happens in one cycle of my entire house), it stops working until I manually empty the bin. Doing this daily is not ideal. It is supposed to suck everything out and into a larger vacuum bag in the main docking station, and while I can hear the machine say "emptying dustbin" and hear the suction sound, it does not actually empty the vacuum dustbin at all. This means that if I don't manually empty it, the next time it runs not only does it not pick anything up but it actually drops reclaimed dust and pet hair back onto my carpet in little clumps. So it's creating more of a mess than we started with. We have triple checked for blockages and clogs throughout the vacuum and the docking station, and there is nothing in the way that should prevent the dustbin from emptying. Customer service has been of no assistance, all of their troubleshooting suggestions don't work to correct the problem. I regret this very expensive purchase. I would NOT recommend purchasing one.

Self-washing & drying base keeps it fresh
I’m obsessed with this Roborock Qrevo S—it’s a legit lifesaver for keeping the house clean with almost no effort. Suction is strong (rated up to 7000Pa), so daily crumbs and pet hair disappear fast, and the mop feature actually makes floors feel clean, not just damp. The base washes the mop pads automatically and does a self-drying cycle after runs, so there’s no musty smell and way less bacteria buildup. I love that it lifts the mops on rugs so carpets don’t get wet, and the smart mapping has been accurate—neat rows, good edge cleaning, and it hasn’t gotten stuck under my furniture. Maintenance is simple: empty/replace the dust bag when prompted, top up clean water, dump the dirty tank, and rinse the mop pads occasionally. I set schedules for kitchen and high-traffic areas and it just handles it—floors stay consistently clean without me thinking about it. If you have mixed floors or kids/pets, this combo vacuum/mop is worth it. Bottom line: powerful suction, real mopping, and a base that keeps the pads clean and dry—my floors look good every day with zero micromanaging.

What's not to like?
I previously owned a Roborock robotic vacuum which unfortunately died just months after replacing a worn out battery. I made the mistake of replacing it with another brand that vacuumed, mopped, and self emptied. It worked, sort of - but got trapped way too often and the application was a pain to use. I finally got fed up with it and after reading numerous reviews decided to take the plunge and get another Roborock, the Qrevo S specifically. I have not been disappointed. The Qrevo S has lived up to its potential and easily justified all the positive reviews. The initial mapping was easy and much quicker than I expected. It mapped my entire 2500 sq ft house in one go and did a really good job of recognizing potential trouble spots. The Roborock app, which is new to me, is pretty easy to use. It features "No-Go Zone", "Edit Room", "Edit Furniture" and "Edit Surface" options. So far the only option I've used it the "Edit Room" to give meaningful names to the rooms found during the mapping run. I created "Routines" for individual rooms and sets of room that allow you to determine the Smart Plan type of cleaning: "Vac & Mop", "Mop"', "Vacuum" and "Custom". Then you can adjust "Suction Power", "Water Flow", "Cleaning count" (number of passes - 1 or 2) and the "Route" (fast or standard). Once the I had created the routines I then created scheduled room cleaning appropriate to our needs. Scheduling lets you choose "Full", "Rooms" or "Routine". I have only used Routines so far. When scheduling you pick the "Start" time and how often to repeat. The options are "Once", "Everyday", "Weekdays", "Weekends", or "Custom". For our needs I have only used "Custom" as this allow you to pick specific days of the week to run. There are other capabilities that I have yet to explore. Our Qrevo S has been running on our schedule for 9 days as of this review and has done a great job of keeping our floors clean. The robot has always returned to its docking station when it needs to get more water for mopping or to clean the mops and at the end of a cleaning cycle. The mapping has proved to be excellent as it goes to where it should and not get trapped during cleaning. It handles our medium pile carpets with no problems, always raising the mop heads where needed. My only regret is wasting my money on another brand and not purchasing the Qrevo S when I replaced our previous Roborock.

Solid vacuum/mop
Pros: - Better mapping and cleaning than my previous higher end robot vacuum from a popular brand - Quiet operation - Customizable cleaning settings, routines, and obstacle avoidance - Heat drying so the mop pads don’t smell - Easy to fill and empty water tanks - Easy to change the bag and mop heads - Maintenance notifications for brushes, sensors, and filters - Connects to Alexa - Comes with an extra bag - Great value Cons: - Not great for carpet cleaning if you have pets who shed often - My previous vacuum notified me when it was time to change the bag, this one does not - Cleaning solution is a bit expensive, other solutions void the warranty - Initial setup was difficult with connectivity issues (tip: if it won’t connect to your phone, turn off cellular data so there’s no lapse when the WiFi channels switch. Mine wouldn’t connect until I tried that) - Learning curve with the app I bought this particular combo on a whim when I saw it was on sale. I’ve wanted a robot vacuum/mop combo for a while but couldn’t justify spending a lot on one. I had my eye on a much more expensive model thinking I’d save for a big sale when I saw this one. I figured I’d at least try it. I love it! It maps and cleans my apartment better than my previous robot vacuum and my house always smells fresh. I have a dog that sheds a lot even with daily brushing and I noticed this isn’t great on carpet for picking up fur. I’ve set it to skip my room entirely and I just use my stick vacuum in that area. I think this would be fine for carpet in households with no pets or maybe pets who seldom shed because it does have good suction power. I run this every other day and my hard floors stay so clean. I mentioned that other cleaning solutions void the warranty. I bought the brand’s Omo solution. It’s expensive but a little bit really does go a long way and helps prevent bacteria growth. Make sure to read the directions so you don’t use too much! I’ve seen others say they use water only and it works great for them, but I’ve always used solution so I can’t speak to that. It doesn’t come with a silver ion module but I highly recommend buying one for it. It keeps the water from smelling bad and reduces the chance of mold too. I ordered one off Amazon and there’s a spot in the clean water tank to just snap it into. It looks like a weird little rectangle on the bottom. The module lasts a year. I’d recommend emptying both water tanks at least once a month, if not more. I’m relatively tech savvy and this took a little bit of time to get the vacuum connected and learn how to customize the settings. It’s not hard, it just takes a bit to find everything and remember where stuff is. I do really like that it is so customizable though. Overall, I really like this and definitely recommend it. It has a lot of great features for the price.

I paid $459.99, and I think it is good value for the money.
Navigation & Cleaning: Smart Mapping: I like how it maps out the floorplan. The app is easy to use for setting 'no-go' areas where I don't want it to clean. Thoroughness: It is impressive around furniture. It works its way into every nook and cranny, specifically around dining room chair legs. Carpet Performance: It vacuums in parallel lines, leaving nice, orderly vacuum marks. It also automatically lifts the mop heads when it hits carpet—a great feature. Performance: Suction: It has good suction, though it doesn't always pick up everything on the first pass; sometimes it needs a second trip around. Routine: I have it scheduled to run twice a week at night. The Only Downside: Obstacles: You have to pick up the floor first. If a shoe is left out, it will catch the shoestring in the roller and drag the shoe around.

My Home Has Never Looked Better This Robot Does Everything
am beyond impressed with the Roborock Qrevo S! This is hands-down one of the best home purchases I’ve made. It doesn’t just clean — it transforms the way my house feels every single day. The 7000Pa suction power is incredible. It pulls up dust, hair, crumbs, and everything else with ease, leaving my carpets and hard floors looking freshly cleaned. And what really surprised me is how quiet it is. For such a powerful machine, it operates with a soft hum that doesn’t interrupt conversations, TV time, or even naps. It’s strong but never loud — a huge win in my book. And the mop feature? Absolutely amazing. I love how it washes and dries the mop pads automatically, keeping everything fresh and hygienic without any effort from me. My floors stay shiny and spotless, and I never have to deal with messy mop water ever again. The self-emptying dock makes life even easier. I don’t have to constantly check or empty the dustbin — the robot handles all of that on its own. Overall, this robot vacuum and mop combo is powerful, quiet, sleek, and unbelievably convenient. It works flawlessly and truly makes my home feel cleaner than ever. I absolutely love this robot.
