It's relatively unobtrusive (although we do have a large living space) and as it can easily be wheeled from place to place it can be hidden. The hope is we move to a more humidity maintenance program within another week, as the majority of the moisture should have been eradicated by then. For the moment, it's living up to the 20L removal statistic on a daily basis. The 5.5L tank is very helpful for that. If you need to manage moisture/humidity - this is a good buy.
