Fisher-Price Little People Forest Friends Carry Case

I recommend this toy, even for a 8-9 month old. It is easy for them to grasp and sorting the different woodland creatures to their specific spot in the tree is a good game for the child’s development. The materials used for the toys are durable and waterproof. It will last a long time without breaking, and the animals are washable. There are no batteries involved, so it’s just pure imagination fun. The animals are cute, the toy itself is huge. I appreciated the price for the size of the toy. I think it was worth the buy for my little one. She will taste-test some of the poor little creatures but it was easy for me to wash/sanitize them.

My nephew loves this playset! He is almost 1 year old and loves to play with all the little animals and practice putting them back in their places in the tree scene. I do agree that it can be difficult to open, but you could always just leave it unlatched when a child is playing with it. Fisher Price is still a quality brand and I grew up loving Little People and I am glad to see they are still going strong with nice play sets for young children. My nephew could play with these figures for hours and it helps teach/introduce animals. One note I do have, the edges of the case are a bit pointy and can pinch if a little finger is on it and it is closed (my nephew did this to himself on accident twice). Otherwise we love it!

This is adorable. Kids love the little people sets. Carrying case makes it special.

I originally noticed this set because I am planning a woodland-animal baby shower and the forest animals fit the theme perfectly. But I really did not hesitate about purchasing it because it is Fisher-Price Little People, a toy line I have known and trusted for many years. I am using it as part of the shower decor first and may also put it in the children's activity area if younger guests attend. After the shower, it becomes part of the baby's gift to enjoy when he is old enough. Once it arrived, I liked it even more because there is much more play value built into this little set than I originally expected. What I like: • All 8 woodland animals are adorable and nicely detailed • The fox, bear, deer/fawn, raccoon and owl especially fit our woodland theme beautifully • Animals feel sturdy and well made, which is what I expect from Fisher-Price • Nice size for little hands to hold and manipulate • Tree-shaped case is cute enough that it works as part of the play rather than just storage • Opens securely for play and stands nicely without tipping easily during normal handling • Animals are easy for small hands to remove without being so loose that everything falls everywhere • Each animal has a corresponding picture showing where it belongs • Younger children can simply play with the animals, while the case adds matching, sorting and put-away play as they grow • Plenty of potential for animal recognition, hand-eye coordination and imaginative play • Case closes securely and keeps all 8 animals contained • Animals may move into a neighboring compartment while being carried, but they stay safely inside rather than falling into one big pile or escaping • Carrying handle pulls up when needed and slides back down, making the case a little more compact for shelf storage • About the size I expected from the listing • Very good quality and play value for around $22 I especially like that a younger child does not have to use the toy exactly as designed right away. The animals themselves can be the main attraction at first. As the child grows, an adult can gradually introduce matching the animals to their pictures, sorting them into the tree and using the whole set for more imaginative play. The Little People figures do feel a little different from the ones my own children had roughly 20 years ago. These seem somewhat harder and less rubbery, and possibly a little larger on average, but they still feel sturdy and very appropriate for this type of toy. Things to be aware of: • Recommended age begins at 1+, so although I am using it at the baby shower now, it is really a gift for the baby to grow into • The individual animals can shift out of their exact cubbies when the closed case is carried, although they remain contained inside • It does not arrive in a traditional cardboard toy box. Mine came packaged in clear plastic. That did not matter for my registry/shower situation, but it is worth knowing if you are planning to wrap it as a more traditional boxed gift Overall: This turned out to be exactly what I hoped for and then some. It is adorable enough to use as part of our woodland baby shower, but it is also a sturdy, thoughtfully designed toy with room to grow with the child. I can easily see this being enjoyed from around age 1 through 5 and potentially longer for a child who especially loves animals. In fact, after seeing it in person, I immediately thought of another 2-year-old I would love to buy one for. It is very much what I hoped for from Fisher-Price Little People, and I would absolutely purchase it again.

We love love love this toy. The little animals are so cute the stickers behind to guide them on where to put them away in the tree and the intricate details it’s a 10/10 for me. I also saw that this was harder to open, yes and no, my toddler can open it when she tries but I like that it’s a little challenging because then she can’t try to lose the pieces on her own. She has so much fun with it and the quality of the little animals are so cute. My 2 year old loves it but my 8 year old enjoys imaginative play with it as well - 2-10yrs is good for this toy. I love that it’s small and fits right on the side of the toy shelf without making it looks cluttered and it holds the toys. The toys are quiet and peaceful unless your toddler also likes to sing but that’s just more par for the cuteness. ❤️🙌

This was a birthday gift for a 2yr old. She loved it. She loves playing with little people toys and loves animals so this was the best of both worlds for her to play with. I read a lot of reviews before buying. I will agree that the storage travel container is impossible to open even as an adult. It does open but not easily. Hopefully it breaks in and is easier to open over time from use. But it does serve its purpose of being a travel case so the toys don’t fall out easily. I was torn on 4 or 5 stars because of this. But went with 5 because of the durability, the age range friendliness, and how nice the toys fit in the case.

I got this Fisher-Price little people woodland animals toy as a gift for my one year old, and he absolutely loves it! It’s super cute, and I really like how each animal has its own little spot or house inside. It’s the perfect carry along toy to keep little hands busy and entertained. The only thing I don’t love is that it’s a bit hard for a one year old to open on their own, so I have to help him with it but overall, it’s such a great gift, and I’m really happy with it!

Love these figurines so much and the case they come in becomes the best play place! So durable!
