Perfect for my grandchildren. Lovely old fairy tales I used to read my 40 yer old son when he was thier age

This is a lovely book, the tales are beautifully illustrated and the level is just right for younger children. My grandson loved it and I really enjoyed reading it to him.

I don't normally go down the for boy/girl path with books but I liked the stories. I bought this book and the boy version (?!) and between them they cover the stories I remember as a kid. The pictures are lovely and there are simple stories for very young children - goldilocks, little red hen. It does contain Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty but I read the stories to my little boy and his big sister.

Does not actually say "for girls" which pleased me. Brilliant stories for any gender, toned down a bit for younger children, for example the wolf hides the grandmother under the bed instead of eating her and the woodsman scares it away with his axe instead of cutting the grandmother out of it. Haha. Probably for the best for very young ones. Great pictures on every page, no entirely wordy ones. Really pleased with it. We have the other ladybird favourite stories book as well and highly recommended both.

These are traditional fairy tales that we all grew up with. Bought for the granddaughter and enjoyed.

great stories but crappy quality book binding, the book falls apart at the seams.

Good collection of stories. My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves it. I read her the stories at bedtime and this has helped her in developing this habit of listening to stories at bed time which is great. Quality of the pages is good, picture demonstration is quite engaging for the Lil ones and the cover is hard and sturdy. Highly recommend!

It would be very good if the list of stories could be given to prospective buyers. There are eight very good stories, but I had them in other books already, so I basically ended up duplicating the collection except for some modifications in the presentation. But stories are very good and presented in very pleasant way and so is the book for graphics and illustrations.
