Pup's allergies made it completely unusable...Amazon's sustomer service and quality make it a great choice for others
Unfortunately I will have to start off saying that my dog is highly allergic reactive to peas, beef, flaxseed, soy, etc. But that doesn't mean that this not a good source of nutrition for other dogs. i.e., I personally as a human may be intolerant to many foods (FOD MAPP diet for IBS/acid reflux) and a huge trigger for me may be garlic but garlic is generally healthy for most people (NOT FOR DOGS!!!!...I am just giving an example on how one ingredient for one dog may be perfectly fine while for another dog it may very problematic). There is no cookie cutter approach here and therefore as responsible pet owners we must customize to our pups individualized needs as they are uniquely created. The creators of this food cannot possibly predict every potential issue with various ingredients and does not deserve to receive a poor review merely because it did not work for my particular dog. We have to be flexible and modify if necessary. I know I will have to as I have found that 99% of dog foods have such ingredients. Needless to say it is not the manufactures' fault for that. What I can comment so positively on is the food was of great quality. My pup seemed to enjoy it initially. And then the hives, losing fur, ear infections, unbearable itching, etc. began. But it had started with other foods attempted previously. That is why we chose a salmon and grain free variety in hopes that it would improve her condition. This was not it. After playing trial and error in trying to find a variety of food that would work for her enough times (to her poor suffering), we decided enough is enough and just did an allergy test. Sad to say those ingredients are in this product and will not work for her. I let Amazon know and to attest to Amazon's amazing customer service, they refunded the money instantly. This is why I am a continued shopper at Amazon. And, if possible, create a dog food without those ingredients and I will purchase again. I was impressed by the quality and freshness. Wish it would have worked for her.

My dogs will eat it
My dogs were not eating their dry food very often, but only their wet food. (They get dry food in the morning, wet food at night.) Admittedly, I was buying the cheapest dry dog food. It was probably long since time to switch up. So, since this was an Amazon brand, I decided to try it. First of all, the size on the kernels of food is just about right, and so would probably work well for even smaller dogs, but my dogs (although not small) are getting old, and this size was popular with them. Second, the taste definitely appeals to my fairly finicky canines, because all of my dogs will eat this, even the most picky one. One of my dogs actually has been feeling her age and was refusing even choice tidbits of sliced turkey for awhile, but was still interested in this. When she started to feel better, she began eating this. She ate it! If you can relate to this (because your dogs are finicky, or old), you might want to give this a try. I'm reordering. Hopefully, my dogs will continue to like this. So far, so good.

my dogs love it, and switching to wag stopped the shedding! Seriously!
My English springer and sharpei mix simply adore this food (although they are admittedly, putting it mildly, not at all picky). I switched over from halo spots stew grain free surf & turf formula which both have been enjoying for years b/c halo food costs went up substantially recently from all possible sites including amazon (a 14 lb bag is about 50 bucks, maybe a little less w/amazons subscribe and save program - used to be about 35 bucks and I was buying 2 of the 14 lb bags per month for my pups who are very active and high energy). Since completely converting my dogs to the WAG turkey and lentil formula, not only is it WAY cheaper than halo spots stew surf & turf - my sharpei mix Kody who has fur similar to a german shepherd and he literally sheds huge hairballs ALL YEAR LONG has almost totally STOPPED shedding. I kid you not! This may be coincidence b/c I also started giving about 4 weeks ago about 1 tablespoonful of cold pressed organic coconut oil in his food every night - people go on and on about benefits of coconut oil so perhaps lack of shedding coincided w/the coconut oil moreso than the switch to wag food. Regardless, my Kody was the type of dog where you just lightly pet him and a pile of fur comes out in your hand - that undercoat was DENSE and never ending. Now, even when you scratch his neck or behind his ears (which used to generate literally PILES of fur) - NOTHING. Wag food + coconut oil = GODSEND :). thanks, Amazon!
