I love this product and it has helped with my shedding so much. I do not have thinning hair issues, just excessive shedding issues. The way I use it is to let it sit in my hair from scalp to ends for about an hour or two on wash days. I only use it once to twice a week and it has made a huge difference for me. The smell is not the greatest but it’s not terrible and the results are worth it! I definitely recommend.

My dry scalp cleared up—possibly thanks to this product—though I also use a separate conditioner that’s not from Shea Moisture. I started using it every other day to treat dryness and switched to once a week after my scalp healed. It’s a solid choice if you stick to a routine!

I have no idea what all the negative reviews about a “cat pee” smell are about. I’ve asked several people to smell it and it is light and smells fresh. Possibly they are sending out rancid products? This does not come with a seal or shrink wrapped. Have not noticed hair growth yet, but definitely moisture is great. UPDATE: after using 2 full jars, I noticed baby hairs on my right side (or “crown”) of my head. I took a photo and I am frustrated I cannot find said photo to upload. Also: THE SMELL, PEOPLE! I think I have figured it out. On my scalp, when it was oily or unwashed, it smelled like cat pee. I don’t get it - beyond that it’s a PH issue - but whoever first used the term “cat pee” was spot on. HOWEVER, on a freshly washed scalp, it just smells lovely like fresh cucumbers. The scent is so light and nice, it’d help me go to sleep and I enjoy the habit of oily my baby hairs in bed now.

I have oily skin and this product does not disappoint. I am a true shea moisture brand consumer and I liked it. It doesn’t really help grow your hair but it does help with hair loss. I was losing sooo much on wash days and when I applied my cream in the mornings. Not greasy and easy to apply. Would recommend

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It my first time buy this. It smell good. It been 2 weeks that my hair don't fall off everytime I wash my hair and leave it wet. I hopefully make my hair grow from my scalp I just start it and if I see my hair grow I will buy it again.

The Shea Moisture Biotin oil smells absolutely amazing and makes my hair feel incredibly light, soft, and strong! I will give an update later on whether it actually works to stop my hair from falling out.
