I can't speak to the long-term durability of these, but they seem pretty solidly what I'd expect from a ~$10 pair of shoes, and I'm expecting they'll last a good season or two which is fine by me. The sole is a slightly cushioned insert inside attached to a thin, patterned rubber sole on the bottom. So, idk, thin enough Toph from Avatar could probably still earthbend in them, but thick enough to provide protection against sand, rough or hot cement, or pebbled ground barring the occasional poky rock.
