The tank is awesome. We love it. We will likely purchase more. You need the small air compressor. Don't even try it without one.

I want to get both my younger son and I into scuba diving. I want to make sure my son likes it before spending the money on a course to get certified. This mini tank is just perfect. I only needed to attach a few items and the tank was ready. I did find the certification info for the tank and it's dated 9/23. I ended up taking the tank to the dive shop and had them do their certification and fill up. It passed and we started with 2500psi. The tank is rated for 3000psi. We took turns using the tank at the pool and he loves it. Took a few minutes to get used to the breathing. We got about 10 minutes of run time. We don't have an air compressor for this tank so for now we have to spend the money to get it filled. I'm just excited the tank worked, the mouthpiece was easy to use and adjust and most importantly, my son enjoys it and is excited to take the class. Very nice product and the tech at the dive shop was impressed as well.

I'm just getting into diving/snorkeling, so I am not the best one to judge the more intricate details of this setup, but I will say that it seems really nice to me. The canister is sturdy, the seals and connections seem very finely tuned and machined, and the whole setup is pretty convenient for wearing.
