## Description

Artist Biography: Frank Gascoigne Heath (1873-1936) was born in Purley, near London. After a varied education at four English art schools, an educational visit to Antwerp and a spell in Brittany, he joined Stanhope Forbes’ school in Newlyn, Cornwall. There he met his future wife, Jessica, and the couple moved to the nearby village of Lamorna where they built their own house. Heath exhibited his paintings of landscapes, harbours, figures and seascapes at the Royal Academy between 1905 and 1935.
