Replacement Watch Strap 18mm Black Resin to fit Casio F91, F105, F94

The otherwise magnificent Casio F-91W is infamous for its plastic strap, which fails after about two years of daily wearing, long before even the battery runs out. Annoyingly, a genuine replacement strap is the same price as a new watch (£9.99). This aftermarket version at £3-4 is therefore welcome (and let’s be honest, all you really want to spend to get your cheap Casio back in action). It’s not an exact replica of the original strap, but it’s pretty close. It’s a little more matt in texture but is comfortable and seems at least as strong as the original. The buckle is plastic not metal, but who cares when the rest of the watch is plastic anyway? Durability not rated - let’s see if it can do two years... …here we are two years later and yes it can! I find that the rubberised resin watch strap on my Casio F-91W breaks after around 2 years of daily use. There seems little point in spending £10 on an official replacement strap; buying a new watch costs around the same amount. Fortunately cheaper generic replacement straps are available. Fitting a new watchstrap is straightforward and there are excellent videos on youtube explaining how to remove and then push back the pins holding the strap. The videos suggest using a paper clip held by pliers to manouevre the pins on the watch. It is easier to do this by using one of the low priced spring bar tools from Amazon. One end of the tool has a thin point; the other end has a notch. The pointed end is used to push out the pins on the F91-W and then push them back into place. If you are only going to change the strap on F91-W's then a generic spring bar tool will do the trick. In the good old days I bought one for 20p. They now go for £1 to £2 and last for years.

I have had a Casio HDD 600 for what must ba about 20 years now. I wore it daily until about 7 years ago. The original strap snapped about 10 years ago so I bought a replacement from a street market in Spain and that snapped two weeks ago. I ordered this one and it arrived the second day after ordering. It only took five minutes to replace it using the same pins. It looks good, feels good and for less than £4 has given my watch a new lease of life again for hopefully many forthcoming years. I'm very happy happy with it indeed at this point.

Strap feels very cheap, similar in design to the Casio strap, but noticeably thinner and generally lower quality (but it's a fraction of the price, so that's to be expected). It attached easily to the body of the watch and was comfortable to wear. However, I wore it for one day and the FIRST TIME I took the watch off, the buckle broke. The cheap plastic shattered within one day of normal use. Complete waste of time and money, you're better off spending a bit extra on a more expensive (and hopefully) higher quality strap. Do not recommend.

purchase to resurect an old Casio Watch. very comfortable, good buy & suitable for work watch, nothing fancy. Would recommend, but don't extect Rolex quality :-))

UPDATE: It seems I was tempting fate. No sooner do I write a positive review about this strap then it breaks! I've bought another to replace it, but I won't be buying a third. Disappointing. ORIGINAL REVIEW: (Before the product failed) Well it's not a 100% like for like replica, but it does the job at a sensible price and looks OEM to the untrained eye. Great value!
