The touch is soft and nice. It is very comfortable too on the wrist. However, back in the days of balled mice for the pc, this would have been 5 stars but for infra red, wireless mice like the one I use, it makes mouse movement a little sluggish. In the end, due to this I know use the mouse on my desk and not the pad but this is not because the pad is bad. It just isn't suitable for infra red mice.You need a flat surface without a clothy covering which isnt soft for an infra red mouse.

Been using these mouse mats for best part of a decade... I swear by them. They work great with modern infrared and laser mice.

I forgot how good these were when they are new, got it to replace my ten year old one and it’s even better than I remember
