Beautiful, great quality jars. And they're not made in China!

I spent ages trying to find a solid jar to take tea/coffee etc that looks attractive on the worktop. I didn't want clip tops as they often fall apart and 'ping' painfully, and I didn't want preserving jars with two part lids. So I found and ordered these jars in two sizes and am absolutely delighted. The screw tops are really easy to use - go on smoothly and undo easily - and the jars are attractive and strong. I haven't tried heating them for preserves so cannot comment on that, but for storage in different sizes they are perfect.

These are very nice glass containers. Unfortunately the lids to leak very slightly. When I sealed my pickles and slightly shook the bottle to blend the spices, there was leakage from the lid. If this was not the case, I would have ordered more.

Good quality jars.

Great little jars for keeping jams and marmalades and pickles available to enjoy in winter. The lids are really easy to seal and open and don't jam like the metal on glass types prevalent on the US & UK brands. Some folks don't like single use lids - but I feel it's safer imho than "cleaned/recycled" lids Recycled lids always seem to attract mould and rust after the first opening. Fresh lids seem to be readily available.

So these were, after some careful consideration the best value I could fine on Amazon at the time… for what purpose I hear you ask!? Well, I was going to start making sourdough bread and needed something to keep the living starter in. Fast forward a few months and I’m still buying the bread and haven’t actually made any yet but… I have some really nice looking empty jars 😀

The screwtop lid has quite a deep screw thread which means you can tighten it down as the jar and contents cool to get a better airtight seal. The lid has a pop-up section so you can check the contents are safe to eat. I find that i have to fill the jar right up almost to the top to get a good vacuum under the lid. I also heat the jars in the oven before use and fill with boiling vinegar. The glass is chunky so can stand being bashed around a bit. These are my favourite preserving jars now.

I'm a loyal customer of the Bormioli Rocco Italian glassware. I have many of the glass storage jars with air tight lids. I purchased these small food preservation jars for the purpose of replacing my plastic jars for cinnamon, red pepper flakes and parmesian cheese. I had to purchase the stainless steel lids separately from Amazon. The jars took a while to arrive from Italy. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Bought these to store my spices as I am not a huge fan of plastic. I was a bit worried that they would be canning jars with ring type lids, they are canning jars but these seem to have normal lids. They're perfect for what I wanted them for, but now I'm tempted to experiment with canning 😀

Il vetro è spesso, trasparente e molto resistente agli sbalzi termici. La forma è quella classica, elegante e pratica da impugnare. Il decoro in rilievo non è solo bello esteticamente, ma aiuta anche ad avere una presa più sicura quando i barattoli sono bagnati o scivolosi. I barattoli facilissimi da lavare, sia a mano che in lavastoviglie.

J'adore les bocaux Quattro Stagioni, ils sont parfaits et ont un petit côté rétro mignon, parfait pour du jar cooking ou de la conservation longue ou courte. Je recommande vivement!
