Great Daily Bird Food
My bird enjoys these pellets, and they help provide balanced nutrition. The colorful pieces encourage eating, and the bag stays fresh for a long time.

Good bird food
My little parakeet loves this food. It has a pleasant smell and seems to be fresh every time I order it. Itโs easy to Use as you just pour it straight from the bag. The bag has a good amount and is a good value for the money. Seems to have a variety of flavors that keep my little bird enjoying it.

ZuPreem FruitBlend Bird Pellets
I'm glad I started my young budgies on pellets. I usually feed half pellet and half Dr. Harvey's best parakeet mix. My birds gurgle chirp all day. I don't like 'sugar' being an ingredient in the pellets but it may be necessary for the vast amount of inclusive vitamins to be palatable

Cheap and in good condition : UPDATE
This has lasted me months now. I am maybe 2/3 done with it and I ordered this a really long time ago. It's cheaper to buy in bulk, I'm used to always having to stop by a pets market to buy the smaller bags, and they are much more expensive. The bad thing is, since it's so heavy the box it came in was in awful condition when it arrived. Ripped, torn open, and the UPS guy threw it against our door too, because it was so heavy. UPDATE: So it's been awhile since I've last posted, yeah? I thought I'd give an update and give a more thorough review. I have three birds total, an African Grey, a parrotlet, and a budgie. All three love Zupreem. We buy the bigger pellet size for our African Grey, and she's funny because she likes to pick out certain colors, so when we refill her bowls in the morning all you'll see are the purple ones leftover. (I guess she doesn't like grape flavor!) Sometimes it'll be just all red leftover, but she always eats the yellow ones. For my other two smaller birds, I was afraid Zupreem would be harmful for them in the long run because I've been on a couple of bird forums and there's always a huge discussion about the artificial coloring in Zupreem pellets. Zupreem has had years of testing and perfecting their products, but still I worried and so I tried switching over to a non-colorful seemingly healthier choice, Roudybush. They hated it! They'd toss it all out onto the bottom of their cage and make a huge mess out of it. I've thus learned my lesson that my birds can be finicky eaters and I struck gold the first time when I tried Zupreem. It was wishful thinking that they'd just switch over; Roudybush had more of a veggie wheat sort of base smell, whereas Zupreem was more fruity and sweet smelling. All in all, it was a waste of money trying to find something new. I bought the huge 10 lb bag of Roudybush too, so I had to slowly mix it in with some Zupreem to not waste it. I've also tried mixing it with hot water and mashing it with some steamed veggies to feed to my bigger African Grey as a treat (she likes warm steamed foods and isn't as finicky as the smaller ones). We were first recommended Zupreem by our local vet when our African Grey got extremely sick from eating a strictly seed medley diet. Apparently it's not as nutritious for them; she would pick out mainly sunflower seeds, and those are like candies to them. My budgie was also starting to show signs of respiratory issues from her seed diet; she was having breathing problems and was wheezing, trouble balancing, tail was bobbing as she breathed. After swapping to pellets they are much more healthier and get the vitamins and nutrition they need.

Parakeets happy - after adjustment time
My parakeets completely ignored the pellets as they did every other fresh food offered also. Not even 1 curiosity nibble. Only ate/were used to an all seed diet it seemed. I knew they should/could eat a much wider variety of food suitable for parakeets than just the seeds. Decades ago I had had a parakeet that loved to eat everything I offered extra right out of my hand. So their behavior perplexed me and their refusal to try anything new/fresh even more. So I read other owners experiences for a more varied diet approach and found out this behavior isn't really that uncommon. For myself/my birds I decided to keep trying to get them to eat more than seeds. I left the seed feeder empty for about 3 hours every morning and only had the pellet feeder available during that time. At first they waited for the seed feeder to be refilled, ignoring the pellets completely - pretty loudly protesting too. The third day they started to shred the pellets almost to dust but at least they actually nibbled on them. That went on for about another week; eventually the shredding stopped and they started eating the pellets and by now (almost 3 months in) that feeder is complete empty in 2 days at most. Since then I have both feeders available/filled and they are as keen on the pellets as they are on the seeds. Now they fuss loudly when that feeder is empty - even when the seed feeder is still available/filled. I will definitely buy the fruitblend pellets again when the pellets run low.

Even picky eaters love it!
I was advised by my vet to change my buggies diet to a more nutritious one, as one of them plucks badly and he believes it to be internal, so trying to give her the best fighting chance! They WILL NOT usually eat anything other than anything seed based. Its been driving me insane! I've spent so much on things they just wont touch! Well.... to my great surprise they actually have been eating this! Actually shocked! Worth every single penny! In all honesty it smells rather nice! And my dog seemed to desperately want some too! Honestly, if your bird is picky it's worth it! Never thought this day would come!
