Nice Tool! Batteries NOT!
Update 2: They responded to my seller contact and I told them both batteries failed at the same time. They sent one new battery under warranty, not 2. I am guessing it will last no better than the last ones did. I will never need the extra chain blade or bar that came with the unit LoL. Considering this, I see many options for as little as half the price of this one if you only need a disposable unit for a single project as this one has turned out to be. I'll keep my rating at 5 stars as it is a lesson well learned about the very weak link of battery powered devices. I ended up using an old pair of hand powered clippers to finish off what I could. Update: After 4 to 5 charges each, both batteries will not charge. So lesson learned: the most important feature of any battery powered product is how good are the batteries because without them the device, no matter how good, is useless. I will not make this mistake again with battery powered products - stick with known name brands so you can trust the batteries to at least last a season. This type of saw is awesome, now I have to go pay for a name brand, probably one I already own batteries that are compatible. Works great. Came in a case in a box in a box. Sharpener, glasses, gloves, etc. included. Extra bar and chain included in the option I purchased. Batteries were fully charged upon arrival and I was able to use the tool right away without charging first. In case you are wondering, unlike a regular sized chainsaw, this Tietoc mini-chainsaw uses a much smaller chain blade so it can cut much smaller diameter items without the bouncing and sliding of the blade that you may have experienced with those larger tools while trying to cut small diameter branches, brush and saplings. For those of you who are not familiar with chainsaws, you will not get a cut as clean as using hand held clippers so I would not prune decorative plants and shrubs or garden vegetables with it. If it can easily move, a chainsaw is not the proper tool. Only had it a few days but right now its one of those Amazon items I am thinking I wish I had known about and purchased a long time ago because it works so great for what it does. I don't know how long its gonna last but I am thinking if it lasts only one season it was worth it for me. It seems well built enough for what it is. If I don't accidentally break something I think it could last quite a few years or however long the batteries continue to charge. If you have used a regular sized gas or electric plug-in chainsaw and you are thinking you would like something much smaller and lighter and easily used while being held in only one hand then you will love a battery powered mini-chainsaw. You will be very pleased by its ease of use. I looked at a few mini-chainsaws online and at my local big box stores. I decided on this Tietoc one, I don't even remember why but I think it was the extra bar and chain for the price. I am now thinking it was a good choice. It works great. It cuts through wood like butter. The one bad thing I did notice about this saw was that when I was done cutting what I needed to cut, instead of stopping at that, I found myself looking around my yard for more things to cut with it. You may have to fight that urge also if you get one of these. I used it on limbs and branches ranging from pencil thin to 4 inches diameter on a couple large pine trees I had to climb up to attach ropes in preparation for cutting them down. These pine trees have so many branches I had to cut my way through them as I climbed up. This tool worked incredibly awesome for that. I also have a line of brush about 20 feet by 300 feet that I have to do some clearing every year of saplings and vines and brush that wants to grow out and expand into the yard. This thing works great cutting that back also. It cuts small diameter woody plants like briars and saplings and branches with an ease that nothing else matches. My suggestion: if you are already invested in expensive batteries for a specific brand of tools - check to see what they offer in a mini-chainsaw so you can take advantage of the battery sharing. Otherwise, this Tietoc seems to be a great choice for quality, performance and value. It is 30 percent cheaper than the store brand at my local big box and this one has a case, accessories and an extra bar and chain. I almost forgot, you get an extra battery too. I dont' like to leave 5 star reviews because, tbh, everything could be better than it is. But I am not sure how this tool could be better at this point in time so I decided to give it 5 stars. I will downgrade my vote if it lets me down after I speak well of it.

I was wrong. This is a great machine!
My story: I don't like yard work. I didn't do any yard work in 2024. In late 2924 I had surgery, thus giving me an excuse not to do any yard work in 2025 either. I recovered from surgery in a few weeks, but I was going to ride this excuse from yard work as long as possible. I found myself with 200+ seedlings/saplings growing all around my cabin, wit many of them being over an inch in diameter, and thus too big for loppers, but too small for a full sized chain saw. So today, I received this saw about an hour ago. I expected it to be junk, and upon opening the box I found a light weight tool that didn't increase my expectations. Surprisingly, the battery was fully charged so I decided to give it a try. WOW! 30min later, I now have a car sized pile of saplings in my yard with about 75% of the job done. This thing was MAGIC. Truly, if it broke right now, I'd buy another one. I had tried doing this with my sawzall, but it wasn't working well. This chainsaw works very well. After a good amount of work, battery is still showing full too. So I'm going to go finish. I'm pretty sure the battery is interchangeable with a major brand, and I'll investigate, but it's not interchangeable with Bosch. Comes with a spare chain and some other maintenance tools as well. Versatile and high value.

Incredible value and surprisingly powerful! Review by Verified Purchaser
I spent a good amount of time looking around at larger home improvement stores for a mini pruning saw, but everything comparable was priced well over $100. I took a chance on this Tietoc 6-Inch Mini Cordless Chainsaw since it was less than half the price, and I am so glad I did! For the price point, this little tool works amazingly well. It is wonderfully lightweight and easy to handle, yet it had zero trouble slicing through very thick branches and dead limbs in mere seconds. It is robust, completely up to the task, and makes yard cleanup effortless. If you are looking for an affordable, high-performing pruning tool without spending a fortune at the big box stores, I highly recommend this one!

Great product
Lightweight, easy to use, works well. Very manageable, great for smaller jobs and maintenance where a large chainsaw is just not necessary. Was able to cut up several large tree branches that came down in a storm.

Surprisingly powerful for its size!
This chainsaw is small enough that I refer to it as my "toy chainsaw" but it really works! I got behind on my trimming this year and had some rather large saplings around my garage. This chainsaw cut right through them with ease. It is very lightweight and holds a charge longer than I expected.

Better than a full size chain saw?
I've only had this a month but its absurdly good and useful. It cuts through small branches (around 1-2 inches diameter) easily, which was expected but still good. What blew me away is I have roots creeping above the ground and it can chew through that extremely well. In some ways its better than my large corded chainsaw. It seems to get stuck less and maybe because the overall chain is smaller it doesnt get jammed as easily. Overall, its very stable in my hand and I have had zero safety issues with it. I've had no battery concerns yet (I only used it for maybe 15-20 mins at a time).

Great for Bigger Tree Roos and Bushes. Great for DIY homeowner
This tool falls between a reciprocating saw and a chainsaw. I use my reciprocating saw to cut small samples, trim think tree limbs, and up the thick plant growth. But I needed something that could do larger tree roots and slightly bigger samplings. The 8 Inch Mini Chainsaw is ridiculously easy to use. It comes with safety glasses, gloves, and a dead man switch. If you let go of the trigger for any reason, the machine stops instantly. It also has a safety guard on the top. I'm not a super handy person, but I found this easy to use and I was not intimidated by the instructions. I cut down some thick base bushes. I tried a six-inch-wide tree root. My reciprocating saw struggled in the same room. The mini-chainsaw cut it quickly and cleanly. It has significantly more power than my reciprocating saw, but it's not exactly a full-size chainsaw. Do not expect it to do all of the same things as a full-sized chainsaw. You get an extra chain in the box, along with the glasses and gloves. It has a rechargeable battery. I did charge the battery when I opened the box, but it did have a base charge. Down-sides. I wish it were slightly longer. The length made some jobs a little harder. It does not come with any bar/chain lubricant. You have to purchase the lubricant/oil separately. There is a slight gap in the plastic at the base/handle of the chain. Small pieces of sticks, dirt, and little pieces of debris build up in that gap. After removing the battery, I used the knob to unscrew the plastic piece holding the chain in place to get the stick/dirt out of there. I, then, struggled to get the saw back together. I actually couldn't get the chain back on it again without it sagging. I'm sure I did something small wrong, but I couldn't figure out what that was. I called product support---but they just sent me a new one. Overall, this is a great tool for a person who doesn't own the full-size version of the tool. It's easy to set up. It's easy to use. It has a lot of safety features. It's inexpensive. You do need to add bar/chain oil, and that is NOT included. It's not meant to cut down forests, but it's great for roots, bushes, and bigger tree limbs. HOW I USED IT: I used to cut parts of some rotting stumps out. I used to cut large tree roots. I used to cut out a large, stubborn bush. This little chainsaw would not be able to cut down a full-sized tree. You'd need a pro or a full-size chainsaw for that. Yet...it has a lot more power than my reciprocating saw. Overall, I think it is a great little saw as long as you don't expect more from it than is intended. I also recommend watching the video on YouTube on how to use it. It lets you get started more quickly.

Does the job for up to 3" branch, meets expectation
It is definitely handy and does light job as expected. I have branch cutter that can deal with up to 1.5". I also have full size chainsaw that can cut through 3" above. This mini chainsaw covers this gap and can reach space that is difficult to size tool. It struggles when working with 3" above. Overall, it meets the expectation for this price point.

Wow, wow, wow.
Wow!! I have never used any type of chainsaw and I am amazed at the ease of use as well as the results. I charged the battery first until fully charged. My son is a red seal licensed heavy equipment mechanic who stopped me when I was in the garage looking for motor oil. He said Mom, any cooking oil will work as it can handle heat and is not messy. So off I went from the garage to the kitchen to get my vegetable oil. He was right, it worked like a charm. I spent a solid hour and a half straight cutting and pruning in one charge. I was able to get all my work done. I had to stop about halfway to tighten the chain a bit. My son reassured me this was normal. I must have cut at least 50 times effortlessly and efficiently. It was extremely hot outside so it was time to come in. I wanted to keep going it was so much fun. You won't be disappointed! And at this price and a great warranty just buy it.
