When I first got this my green cheek conure was terrified of it. I didn’t put it in his cage right away because I wanted to show him how it worked, and he was terrified. After a couple of weeks I ended up just putting it in the top corner of his cage and by the next day he was starting to be a little more brave and mess with it. By the second day he had mastered all the different doors and LOVES this thing. He’s always standing on it like a indoor deck. I’ve even seen him sleep on it. He has chewed and shredded this thing like crazy and ripped out the two sliding doors. But he still sits on there and will open the latch all the time and wait for me to put treats in there. This was a great buy and I will be purchasing again. The only issue I had was the screws were not in the wood well and when I tighten the bolt on it would never tighten and just unscrewed the screw from the wood. But that was an easy fix and we just glued the screws into the wood and now it’s sturdy.

I love mine! I love that Rio took to it right away. He was not afraid of it for one minute. He stepped right onto it and got busy, proving to me that this was a good purchase. I love the quality and appreciate the workmanship. Nicely done! There was no scent of glue or any sign of glue on this newer version. I was baffled by that comment. I would even give them an Extra STAR for reading the reviews and actually making the changes suggested. My (newer version) has the screws in a very different place than those who had complained about not being able to open the swing door. BUT here's why I would have to take back the Extra STAR; As a result of that improvement, the trap door in the floor has its knob too close to the cage bars. It appears that it would be difficult if not possible to open that door as it sits. But bird don't care. He loves his new Xmas present. So don't even hesitate. I say buy this one!

Some of the puzzles stick a little bit and are hard to move. My pigeon solved all puzzles except one overnight. What a good birb!

My Quaker loved this puzzle from the moment I showed It to him. I highly recommend this product. It’s made well and has no paint or parts that would be a concern for safety.

A piece of wood with a separate wood piece that kind of fits into one of the holes. The cockatiel was not interested, and I think this is too large for a cockatiel. Cockatoo maybe.

Bird absolutely cannot figure out the flip up door. Otherwise he loves it though.

I cannot believe this was sold as a toy for parrots. While I was simply opening one of the foraging mechanisms to put treats inside, the wooden knob came off with very little force, exposing several sharp metal pins/wires underneath. Parrots are literally supposed to pull, chew, pry, and manipulate this toy with their beaks and tongues. If that knob had come off while my bird was alone in his cage, he could have impaled his mouth or throat, swallowed a piece of metal, or potentially been exposed to a toxic metal. The most disturbing part is that I easily could have put this toy in his cage, gone to bed, and woken up to a severely injured or dead bird. That is not an exaggeration when sharp pieces of unknown metal are hidden underneath a part specifically designed for a parrot to manipulate. Thank God I inspect toys before putting them in his cage and this happened while I was handling it. Otherwise, I never would have known this hazard was hiding underneath the wood. A bird toy needs to be built with the assumption that a parrot will try to take it apart. A piece coming off this easily and exposing sharp metal is completely unacceptable. Please look at the photos before considering buying this. If you already own one, I strongly recommend removing it from your bird’s cage and inspecting every piece. I would never trust this toy around my bird after seeing how it is constructed.

This is my birds favorite part of the day when he gets to play with this puzzle. It's great to watch him learn how to figure out what he needs to do to get to the snack underneath. We have to take it away from him otherwise he won't do anything else but play and chew on this puzzle. Would recommend for any small bird owner.
