The crown is exposed, and it moves just fine. The buttons are covered and they work great even in the case. So if you’re like me, don’t let the price stop you from purchasing this band. My husband has thanked me so much for this watch band that it was well worth it. He loves how it looks and he’s not typically the kind of guy who comments on something’s appearance. This watch band is nice enough for his management position at his oil company.
