It's been expensive/challenging finding the right shade, while I've tried out different brands. It is very light weight, going on more like a moisturizer than a 'cakey' base. It covers up my imperfections while looking quite natural. Also? Since it comes in a plastic tube, there is no waste of product. I use scissors to cut off bottom of tube when finishing it up, so I get every last bit. One VERY important thing to note? Covergirl products are cruelty free. No torturing of animals, such as beagels, to test their products.
