Emptied our hot tub quickly
Having read the reviews I went for the Foting 900w submersible pump. I was looking for something to empty our hot tub every couple of months, which wasn’t hugely expensive, or big to store. I also wanted something which didn’t take forever to set up, and wasn’t complicated to use! I wasn’t disappointed, this did the job perfectly. It arrived quickly, and I was surprised at the weight of the pump, its heavy. But feels robust which is good. One small thing to note is that it doesn’t come with a hose, so you will need to buy this separately. I went for a 32mm flat pipe at around £14.99 for 10m and this worked perfectly. Once you’ve attached the hose, you simply plug it in, lower it into the water, and the pump starts. I did have to give it a wiggle to get it going but once we were off I was able to leave it to do the job. Took about 15 minutes to empty our hot tub which I was happy with. Everything then fitted neatly back in the box ready for next time. The only thing I would say is there was probably about 6cm of water left in the tub which I couldn’t get it to pump away. Wasn’t an issue for me, but may be if you wanted the water completely gone. Wasn’t overly noisy, and the dog thought it was a great game!

Excellent for what I need it for
Used to empty 2.5mx1.5m foldable pool which holds reasonable amount of water for 2 adults and two children. Used in manual mode as this was easiest, and pool was emptied in 20 minutes, takes about 50 minutes to fill up properly. Used with pvc hose as these don't kink compared to flat hoses and you can see the power and speed at which it works. In testing it can lift water about 3 metres high, which is way more than I need. Power cable is very long which is helpful and extension was hardly needed. Easy to use and for my needs a good bit of kit and value for money. I can see the pump is versatile and could easily be used for more demanding tasks if needed.

Quality Water Pump
I don't use it that often, but when I do, it does a quality job. With hindsight, I would buy again.

Game changer
I am absolutely thrilled with this submersible pump. I have a 12ft round swimming pool that’s 1 meter deep and it drained the whole lot (9,000) litres in just over an hour. Prior to buying this we’d been siphoning through a hose taking 10 hours. I originally bought a 1 inch flat hose for it but on my first use I wasn’t overly impressed as it seemed to take ages but it wasn’t the pump machine itself it was the the flat hose that was kinking because I’d not thought it through properly and the hose was no good for emptying the pool as it’s not a straight line from pool to my drain and involved a few curves which caused the hose to kink which then caused the pump to not work to its full potential. However today I have bought a 1.25 corrugated flexi hose and attached that to the pump and wow it’s an absolutely game changer 😁

Useful little pump
I use this for our pool and spa and it is perfect for this. I was a bit worried given several reviews saying it may be too powerful, however I did not find that to be the case, it is just a small pump and less powerful than others I've had. It does the job and I'm happy with my purchase.

Poor instructions
The instructions are written appallingly. Trying to understand how to get the pump to work in low depths is impossible. Despite it working fully submerged I will return it as the description is incorrect. For goodness sake can’t these manufacturers employ people to write easy to follow instructions.

Powerful Pump That Gets the Job Done
Quality I’ve used this pump to move water out of a flooded basement area and later to drain a small pond, and the overall quality feels solid. The housing doesn’t feel cheap, and it handled dirty water with small debris without any issues. It feels like something built for actual utility use, not just occasional light jobs. Ease of Use Setup was simple. I plugged it in, attached the hose, and it was ready to go. The manual operation is straightforward, and the power cord length was enough for my setup without needing an extension right away. Performance The pumping speed is strong and noticeably fast. It moved a large amount of water in a short time, which saved me a lot of effort compared to smaller pumps I’ve tried before. It stayed stable while running and didn’t overheat during longer use. Value For the power you’re getting, this feels like good value for money. It performs on par with more expensive utility pumps and handled both clean and dirty water without a problem. Overall, it’s a reliable, powerful pump that works well for draining, transferring water, and handling tougher jobs when needed.

Makes the water go away...fast.
Sends water at a very good rate. Had a garden hose on it and it wasnt great. Changed to a 2" hose and it impressed me. Comes with attachments for various hose sizes. The one attachment has threads and barbs so its pretty versatile. Pumped about 2 ft of water out of a 16ft x30ft space in about an hour maybe hour and a half. The 25ft electrical wire was a big plus. Would definatly buy again or recommend.

Incredible lil machine of power !
It's absolutely amazing. I wanted it for something other than what I ended up using it for. Opened up our pool and after cleaning etc, the dead algae that needed to be vacuumed out which is normally a slow slow slow process using the pole with manual vacuum attachment, and or shop vac, decided to use this and I was done in a matter of a few minutes. Unbelievable how well it works. Also wanted it to move the water around once full till our new sand filter came in 2 days later. I wish I had this years ago! Oh my gosh. Just get it !

Reliable pump
I've been using the FOTING Sump Pump 1HP Clean/Dirty Submersible Water Pump (4600GPH Utility Pump) for several planting seasons now, and it's performed flawlessly as my go-to solution for transferring water from a cistern to irrigate my garden. The pump works exactly as expected—no priming issues, strong consistent flow, and it handles the volume I need without straining or overheating. I hook it up to a garden hose, drop it in the cistern, and it moves water efficiently to my drip system and beds. At 4600 GPH, it fills my setup quickly without any drop-off in performance over time. What stands out is how durable this thing is. I've left it in place through multiple seasons (including not bothering to move or winterize it during the colder months), and it still runs like new—no leaks, no motor fatigue, no clogs from typical cistern debris. It's clearly built to last with solid construction that holds up to regular outdoor use. This is an excellent product for anyone needing a reliable, heavy-duty submersible pump for water transfer, drainage, or similar tasks. Highly recommend—I'll definitely buy another if I ever need a backup or replacement. 5 stars!

Literally a lifesaver
I had a tree fall on my rubber roof and knock holes in it last month. With temperatures in the 20's, I can't get an EPDM crew out here for months. All I can do was get a bunch of 30-gallon totes under the tarps and bail when they fill. After two weeks of bailing 5-gallon buckets, my heart and lungs were telling me "You can't keep doing this, dude." So I ordered this guy and a 25-foto hose, praying it could pump the water out to the driveway. It can. This pump needs only 30 seconds to clear a bin-- less time than it takes to uncoil the hose. The adapter for the fitting took DOES NOT leak (no copper tape needed) and it took ninety seconds for me to screw it on with no strips. It's so quiet that if you hear the motor, you know something is wrong. Couple of small issues. It won't pump if the hose is even slightly kinked (even loops cause issues). Make sure the unit is FLAT-- more than 25 degrees makes it unhappy. The pump will make scary noises if the motor is not fully immersed (it needs to be about six inches deep). Pull the plug immediately if that happens and reposition it. It's light enough to lift but it seems sturdy (I've only used it two weeks, so who knows?) My wife (who thinks all machines hate her) has no problem operating it. Can't say enough good things about it
