This is the best hair product I have ever bought in my life. I have extremely coarse, thick, unruly hair. As a man, I get around this by keeping it cut very short, but between cuttings when it starts to lengthen it's a disaster to keep in place. Not with this product! You rub a dollop in your hands, run it through your hair all the way, then push it or comb it or shape it like you want and it's not moving anywhere unless you want it to. I went to sleep one night and the next morning all I had to do was brush my hair and there was zero bed-head. I was shocked. This is perfect if you have this kind of hair and would like to keep it mid-length rather than crew cut.

I’m very particular about what hygienic products I use. I experiment with different products and am willing to pay however much necessary to get the best. I’m especially particular about my hair and skin. When it comes to pomade, it just so happens that the best product also has the best price. I’ve been using Black and White for over two years now there’s no chance I’ll ever use anything else. I’ve experimented with a lot of hair products to find the perfect one (seriously, a lot!). I’ve tried anywhere from Crew to Got 2b to Suavecito and many others and none of them compare to Black and White. Black and White has the perfect combination of actually holding your hair without getting it too hard or oily. Can be difficult to get completely out when you wash your hair, but only if you’re using a crappy 2-in-1 shampoo. Don’t be skeptical of the low price, Black and White is the best.

I don’t understand the hype. The product has a Vaseline consistency and won’t wash off easily. Weak hold, and smells like baby powder. The shine is good though. Based on reviews, a lot of people must like weak hold, baby powder scent and Vaseline consistency. I personally regret buying this product.

If you are having trouble styling your wavy or curly hair, this is the product to add to your hair experience and stylist repertoire. It has been difficult to find in the past and I was happy to be able to receive it in a timely manner. Many thanks!

Im a cosmetologist, my son likes his hair to stay in place, wothout it beimg to stiff and it holds his hair style all day. You dont have to use alot of it either less goes a long way.... Yes, I will be buying this product again....This product has been out for years, used to be in Barber Shops not sure why its not available anymore there. Just happy that Amazon carrys it!!!

Prob got close to 3 of these buy now over the last year or so. Best value for the price! Works well and doesnt make me break out like other products. You also get a lot of product so it lasts a while. Some people say it smells nice. I cant tell i think i just got use to it.

If you want something that's classic and works really well as a light holding pomade, it's this or Royal Crown. The scent is very pleasant, yet subtle. Applies with no resistance to the hair, even when the hair is dry. High shine and works well holding your hair as desired. However, I can imagine if you have hair that has a greater diameter (thick straight strands), curly or nappy hair, you're out of luck with this one.

As far as middle-of-the-road pomades go, this one is a real winner.. Apparently from the late 19th century, It's not too stiff, it's easy to get through the hair, and it has pretty decent hold (not like murrays or the red dax but good for my needs - I have generally straight hair with tons of cowlicks and sweeps). The shine is decent, not extraordinary. It is said that Elvis used this stuff but frankly it doesn't really produce that much shine (which I was expecting based on that one fact).. No problemo for me though, I have plenty of light pomades and hair dressings which could fill that in, if needed. Frankly it's pretty good on it's own. The smell is interesting: Coconut, Vanilla, cinnamon?! something spicy, at least. Honestly it vaguely smells like a tres leches cake or something.. Whatever it is, it's fairly subtle. As with many medium hold (and the hard stuff) pomades, it's still a bit tricky to get this out in the shower, but if you're here reading this then that's probably what you want in a product like this anyway, so stay greasy! Anyway, this stuff is a real classic and if it were easier to get ahold of, I would use it all the time.

After reading the reviews I took the plunge and went for this product. Unfortunately this product is essentially Vaseline, a petroleum based product resistant to water, which means it does not wash out easy without shampoo. For someone like myself with thick hair and who does not like using shampoo every day (due to the drying effect), this product was not what I was looking for.

B&W was my 'must use' hair wax 20 years ago, and I'm pleased to say it's as good now as it was then. It's even in the same style tub.Over the years I've tried many other types of wax and never found one to match 'Black & White'. Only the small pots of V05 have even come close to the same performance - so I was really excited when I found this available on Amazon (very sad I know).I only need to use a very small amount to help stop my short hair looking wirey / fluffy - so this giant tub will last me forever.I especially like it's non-greasy finish when applied to hair. My kids have already spotted it and started to use it themselves - so maybe it won't last forever.

Really nice hair product. Lasts for absolutely ages, I’m about 1/4 way through the tub after 2 months. You only need a little to go a long way. Lovely smell, similar to coconut. Just work a little in to your hands and work through. Keeps hold all day, depending on how much you put on you may have to shampoo your hair twice to remove. Really like this product. Will purchase again.

I've had this brand since the nineties, it's the daddy.It does the job perfectly every time, the hold cannot be beaten, warm the wax a bit in your hands, work it in, job done, then sort it how you want it, it's as simple that.That's why even though it's one of the oldest waxes you can buy, it is one of the best you could ever use. Highly, highly recommended.
