This edition is designed to provide the most for a learner of any age or for a pianist wanting to round out their repertoire. The editor's notes, although brief, give a fair account of the collection and attribution to other composers Bach chose to comprise the Notebook; additionally, there is an excellent example of the ornamentations used throughout. The off-white paper is easy on the eyes when the manuscript is directly illuminated, the weight of the paper is substantial and well-textured, and the sewn binding allows it to be folded open to any selection without having to break the spine. Overall, for the price, the is an excellent choice for one's music library.

Good edition but doesn't contain fingering so the photo is a little misleading. The ISMN for a fingered edition is: 979-0-2018-0349-4

My son uses this for his piano lessons, easy to read and beautifully laid out.

The price is some high.

My only disappointment was that four of the more difficult (and longer) pieces are omitted:Keyboard partita in A minor, BWV 827Keyboard partita in E minor, BWV 830.Keyboard suite in D minor, BWV 812, the first French Suite.Keyboard suite in C minor, BWV 813, an incomplete version of the second French Suite.
