The ceramic has a delicate feel, but they are very sturdy. The size is perfect for every member of my family, and they feel comfortable in our hands. Every time we have soup, these spoons disappear in a flash and everybody wants one. You get a good number of spoons for the money, and the quality is really good. The designs and the spoons are all unique, and I love the attention to detail. The only issue is, in the pictures they appear that the background color is white which is what I was expecting. But the actual color is kind of a creamy gray/ off-white. Not a deal-breaker, but they do not match my dishes that I was hoping that they would complete a set. I still love them though and we'll keep them. But if someone is looking for white spoons with some painted designs, just know that these are not white. The back side of the spoons are plain with no decoration.
