Brilliant, fitted perfect

I never changed one of these before and my windows weren’t opening and closing properly. I measured the ones i had and ordered these. One for the bottom of a left and right window. They were pretty straight forward to change once you are used to a bit of DIY and now the windows are opening and closing like new. They’re decent quality, very sturdy and good value.

Great item that meant I was able to perform a repair to an opening window, which had been damaged. When it opened it would not shut without manipulation from outside. This was easy to swap out and fit in place of the old one. Would recommend, saved me having to get a window repairer in which would have cost more.

Despite many of the 1 star ratings saying the quality is poor and the hinges do not open correctly, this product is actually ok. I had a similar problem where the top section of one of the hinges did not seat correctly but I soon realised I had opened it in the wrong direction. There is a small arrow stamped on one of the brackets to indicate the direction of opening. Once the hinge was opened in the direction of the arrow, the top section seated correctly every time. It will always fail if the hinge is opened in the wrong direction. The only other issue was that the existing holes did not line up but that is to be expected given the variety of hinges that are out there. I suggest that the supplier provides some guidelines on how to install correctly to avoid the 1 star ratings. Hope this helps!

AVOID! Decent product metalwork, BUT... stays are covered in terrible "gooy" packing tape and labelling where removing the adhesive takes longer than fitting the stays to the window. This product was also shipped without screws and 17mm spacers.

Perfect for home maintenance for one of our windows. Easy to replace from the old ones and saved us a lot of money doing it ourselves.

En las fotografías viene una pieza para cada mano pero a mi me han llegado las dos para colocar en el lado derecho mirando desde el interior y la quetenia rota es la otra. mirare por otro lado. de todas maneras parecen robustas.
