I probably went the extra mile because I didn't drive it at all after application, until day six, since the instructions say for maximum cure time don't expose to moisture for 5-7 days. It sat in the garage. I washed my car with CarPro Reset, and also used an iron remover + Clay towel to fully decontaminate my Infiniti, after not hand washing since last October (life happens). The product goes on quickly and easily. Ready to wipe off after 3 mins, but I took about 5. I was shocked at the slickness. Cerakote also gives your car a very deep gloss. Do not put this on your glass, since this is not made for glass. I did use another product as a topper, as recommended for all Ceramic coatings however the gloss you see in the photos was the exact same level before I put the topper on. Cerakote by itself gives the car an incredible deep shine. I also rolled through a 15 second rain burst but by the time I got home the car was totally dry. Water can NOT stick to your paint. It just glides right off or evaporates, so its very effective at maximal hyprophobicity if thats what you are looking for. It's not that difficult! *by J***. on June 3, 2026* Although I am a first time user of ceramic coating I can say I am impressed. I used this on a 2019 Honda Civic (red) and a 2016 BMW 5 series (dark blue). I had enough to do both cars with a little bit left over. As always the prep is very important. I washed, clayed then polished. Then, wiped down with a mix of distilled water and alcohol. Application took about an hour and a half per car. Do not let other reviews freak you out! It's not hard to do. After a little time you will see what is the right amount of time to leave it on before the wipe down. You might see a rainbow effect and or it's getting a little bit tacky. That's when it's time. The shine gets even a little better after a couple days. The best way I can describe the results is it looks like putting another coat of clear paint on it. Impressive shine and repels water, dirt and helps cleaning bugs off. If you do have some left over you can store it in the fridge. It lasted 6 weeks for me before I took it out and used it again. With what I had left over I did my hoods again. Wow! Just wow! Ultra shine!
