We’ve got it hanging down against the back porch, secured with paving stones, and it keeps the west-facing porch much cooler. That whole side of the house is so much nicer in the summer heat now. The weaved material stands up to wind very well. It works better blocking out hot sun while letting in light than I expected.

Great shade cloth. We live in Houston, need I say more. I put 2 of these of different sizes on two different windows. Have had them up most of the summer. They are still in one piece after exposure to the sun and elements. They reflect/ block the sun but still allow light into house. I will buy a set for next summer. I believe they have helped with my AC bill this year. Every little bit helps!

This saved me during Burning Man. Easy to set up and attach to the van and/or the ground with ratchet straps, bungees and lag bolts. It significantly reduced the heat inside my van. High quality and withstood the wind and dust.

I ordered this product because I am on a budget and it was less expensive than the others. I have two huskies and we go places sometimes when I feel like it's a few degrees too warm for them. I tested this on a sunny, windy day that wasn't super hot but it kept the car considerably cooler. One of the reviews said there were 'empty rows' in the mesh in-between the reflective ones. Well I tell you if there weren't, that thing would have blown halfway across lake Michigan by now. It was hard enough for me to get it to sit on the car because it is super light weight and not weighted down at all. I was hoping it would be a little heavier, enough to lay on the car but now I know for next time to bring bungees or something to weight it down. It has a number of grommets around the outside so it should not be a problem. A little creative thinking and you'll be able to figure it out too. As I said I have not tried it out on a super hot day, mostly because I wouldn't take my dogs out on a super hot day, but I was really happy with how this performed. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that it's soooo light weight. I saw someone using one once to also keep their dogs cool in the car and I know they didn't have to bungee it down but I could not find theirs on Amazon. I got the 10x20 size which was way too big for my Honda Pilot which proved to be a pain in the patoot when I tried to fold it up again but I guess it's better than too short. Overall I am happy with my purchase and will feel better on sunny days when my old pups need to go in the family truckster for a rest.

I do not recommend this product brand, use a different company. We ordered a 12x 12 because that is the size of our greenhouse roof. The size of this is about 13 x 14. I had not even opened the plastic bag all the way and I could see the material was already frayed. The eyelets are not evenly spaced and one is already ripping out. I would have sent this back but I needed it asap, I doubt this will even make it through the summer.
