It is not visible through the pocket & stays closed well.The inside lining is grayish blue & somewhat thin compared to the quality of the outside fabric. But as long as I’m not shoving anything with sharp corners in the bag with great force, that should be okay.The straps seem durable. I like that they’re long enough that the bag doesn’t hang right under my armpit when it’s on my shoulder, if you know what I mean.I can carry a 3 ring binder in here with room to spare.
