Overall terrific choice for an OLED Tv
Excellent Oled with fantastic blacks. Very well built and seems to be very high quality. The Sound quality is better than most other tv's. There are a myriad of settings to get used to like you can adjust each hdmi input in many ways. I started with vivid picture mode and dialed down brightness, contrast, color and temperature etc. I made many little adjustments over several weeks and now am very happy. Also, in the beginning there seemed to be weird issues with over the air broadcasts where Atsc 3.0 and the old Atsc 2.0 had different brightness (Nbc NX La and Ktla Hd was darker) but these issues disappeared after a few days. I have Sling tv and the build in Google app has much better picture quality than my 4k Roku stick. The only minor issue I have seen is the tv does not remember the favorites setting for over the air broadcasts but reverts to all channels when turned off.

Size does matter
What an amazing TV. The picture quality is just amazing. We bought this for a smaller dark room. Its used for gaming and movies. The size is perfect. Just get lost in it. Pair this TV with the Sonos Arc Ultra, with Era 300 surround speakers, and the Sub 4 I think it is, Wow. Just Wow. You won't be disappointed. I do recommend internet connection with ethernet cable. It helps with keeping up the constant 4k 120hz frame rate. During installation, have some help. Its pretty heavy and big.

SONY TV, Google Operating system is garbage
The picture quality was AWESOME. The google operating system is crap. Sound intermittently drops out, when using Netflix or other apps. The Cable set top box control was completely random and intermittent. Google is used for all,of the control of this TV, EVERYTHING, picture adjustments, sound everything. Add in that you have to agree to at least 5 privacy releases for google to collect and sell your data. I spent 30 years as an equipment start up application engineer, I don’t give up on making systems work properly. If you look into forums you will see the sound drop out is a widespread problem. I am VERY disappointed that Sony made the decision to use google for the total operating system of this TV. If it had the option to just operate as a dumb monitor I would have been happy with that, I can easily control apps via a fire stick. I retuned this TV and purchases an LG C4 series. The second issue was the return of the TV, we purchased the premium delivery that included unboxing and hauling away the box. Without a box the return was an absolute nightmare. There is a HUGE DISCONNECT when trying to deal with Amazon heavy package services. I spent HOURS on the phone and chat trying to get the TV returned since we didn’t have a box. After all of that when they did pick it up, they set the BARE TV on an aluminum hand dolly and literally BOUNCED it across the driveway to the road. I’m sure it was unsellable when they received it at warehouse.

WORTH THE EXTRA $$$ over LED or LCD!!!
If you purchase this (K-65XR80) Bravia 8 tv... YOU ARE NOT MAKING ANY MISTAKES!!! We're still using the earlier models of Sony LED and LCD Bravia sets in our house and one of the 65" LCD sets lost it's backlighting. This is our first OLED set and we never knew what we had been missing all this time! The difference in details and colors, it's like comparing a digital signal to analog signal ALL OVER AGAIN!!! All our sets are on the walls, If you're a wall hanger like us, just know this 65" only weighs 42lbs, wife and I hung it and we're both 66yrs old, the old 65"LCD we replaced was much heavier and not so easy to get down off the wall. Some reviews said that this set is hard to get set up in settings, gets extremely hot, powers off...blah, blah.... we breezed through settings very easily and after that we watched 3 movies back to back and yes it got a little warm, but that's to be expected with OLED technology... same as your phone when you've been using it for a long time. We do not have any complaints about this set and the only difficulty is going to another room to watch one of the other Bravia LED or LCD sets, they are not so great anymore. We will only be buying OLED from now on! After months now of watching this, no regrets, just happy faces. Only advice is this set is for darker rooms a theater not well lit up, if your room is always bright then this set may not be for you.

Bravia 8 Beautiful Tv, beautiful picture, small prob. initial start, resolved with a quickness.
Have had this Bravia 8 for only one week so far and the picture quality is beautiful. I have it set on vivid which is how I like to watch movies. Out the box it was set on standard setting which was a good picture as well but a little dark. My preference is Vivid, all colors really pop and have no complaints on this 65-inch set. Now that being said I have to mention that after the first 5 hours or so I became nervous when the TV froze up while watching a movie. I got nervous thinking about how much time will be exerted trying to resolve this issue with the Sony People via telephone. But to my surprise I remembered I haven't done an update yet. So after the update , (a very long update) the set installed itself and has been running flawlessly ever since. No problems no issues. I'm happy at this time, but I'm only 7 days in. Television is running about at least 12 hours a day to date. This set is replacing a 7 year old Sony that I was happy with. My understanding is these smart TV's last for 5 to 10 years. Thanks, a satisfied customer (so far).

Beautiful picture
Just got this tv. Wow, just wow. I watched A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, episode four, “Seven” which consisted almost entirely of dark, candlelight scenes and it was stunning. The foggy environment of the later part of the show was a revelation. It does need a dark environment. This is not a TV for a bright room, but if you can darken your room, you won’t be disappointed. I watched using an Apple TV with 4k Dolby Vision. 65”

Very bright!
We bought this because we were both a little older and needed something brighter to see it better. Brighter was an understatement, it is unbelievably bright, even in a full sunlight room! Also, the technology that comes with it is unbelievably flawless i.e. screen mirroring.

TV with a lot of issues that are hard to overcome. Not worth the price.
Probably the worst TV we have had. We went from having a Phillips flat screen for 15 years that worked flawlessly. We got rid of it strictly because newer tvs had better features and also paired easier with other devices. This Sony randomly just restarts in the middle of tv shows. Frequently! No reason at all. It just powers down and back up again. Weirdest thing ever. One night it powered up at 3am when I was in bed and had been for hours. House was completely dark and silent. The TV just turned on. It was terrifying. (no kids or pets in the house that could have done it) The biggest complaint is that the sound is constantly off sync where you can see that the sound doesn't' match the lips. It's very distracting and hard to even focus on what you're watching. Tried customer service a couple of times and they removed over did a few tweaks, but nothing really stuck. We tried adding a sound bar to see if it would fix it, but that didn't help. It's unfortunate because the picture is nice.

Exceptional image quality
Great TV. Sound quality is excellent. Image is crystal clear. Contrast is intense. Setup was intuitive and easy. Only possible negative could be the reflective aspect of the screen. If the room has a lot of ambient light, you could find that the reflections obscure the picture, but for me, with our set up, it wasn’t an issue.

Awesome tv, questionable delivery
Great tv. Has some options for ps5 that are neat but not necessary to enjoy either. Nice crisp picture, easy setup and menu layout. Sony made yet another great tv. I don’t like that the hired delivery guys didn’t take the time or care to secure the loads in the back of their truck. When they opened the door there was a pile of boxes that had quite obviously fallen over during transit with my $2000 tv on its side (the same position it says on the box to not transport it in) at the bottom with several boxes on top of it. Really?? That’s the best delivery option I get? If this were to happen again I would accept delivery. Based on that, I don’t think I will trust to buy anymore expensive, delicate electronics this way ever again.
