This fishing camera is a great add to my fishing gearbox and it adds lots of fun. Super easy to setup and connect to my phone app via wifi. Either flow it on the water service or submerge under water (tie it to a line first so you can retrieve it back), and you can see underwater actions. I tested it in my swimming pool and I think it will make my next smelt fishing that much fun. No more wondering if there is no fish or fish is there just not biting. The camera is well build and very compact. The picture/video it takes quite decent to get the job done and keep me informed while fishing.

I’m very impressed with this underwater fishing camera. It feels sturdy and well-made while still being compact and easy to carry. Setup was straightforward, and connecting it to the app was quick and simple. The 1080p video quality is clear, and the ultra-wide-angle lens provides a great view of the underwater environment. It’s fascinating to watch fish approach the lure and observe how they react in real time. The camera’s waterproof design gives me confidence when using it in deeper water, and the long battery life is more than enough for a fishing session. I also appreciate the intelligent recording features, which make it easier to capture useful moments without constantly operating the camera. The wireless charging base is convenient and keeps the device upright and organized when not in use.

The video quality is pretty good and it’s nice to see what is down on the ocean floor. I’ve been using it for deep water fishing in SoCal. Going on a lobster hooping trip next so gonna use this cam. Not difficult to set up and you need the app to view the videos. Battery life kinda sucks. It says two hours, but I’ve only been getting an hour and half. My main issue is that I keep getting “memory is corrupted” and “no memory card inserted” messages. Had to format the device each time to get it to work again. Not sure if mine is faulty or what. [UPDATE] Pretty sure I made a review already after buying this camera and tested it out a few times already as seen in the first part of my review. Well it's been a few more weeks now and I took it on several fishing and lobster hooping trips with me now and this thing is totally useless. Keep getting the same errors and now IT WON'T EVEN CONNECT TO THE APP! And the one time I got it to connect after updating the app, all my footage was gone...... I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the lobsters crawling into my hoopnet. The capt and crew were excited to see as well, but the camera fails each time to record. The battery life is horrid too. [UPDATE AS OF SEPT. 2025] Tried using it again recently and when I try to open the video file, nothing comes up. Already tried formatting the device and still nothing.

At first I purchased FishPro latest model for almost $300 ... And it was terrible . I returned that camera and purchased CanFish . I am happy to report that I am definitely more satisfied with CanFish . The main thing you need to realize is that this camera is not made to watch live what's going on with your bait . It's made to record and watch later. You can see real life footage when you fishing with provided bobbler at close range , but you will not get live signal at deeper depth If you plan on fishing a long day, I recommend purchasing 2 . That way you can one charging and one recording ... But overall quality of the video and design/functionality is superior compared to FishPRO .

After several hours of trying to get the camera to work, I finally got it going but unfortunately missed being able to record the fishing trip I initially bought it for. I tried it on both Android and an IPhone and could connect via WiFi but the camera would not show as being connected in the app downloaded from the normal marketplaces. I finally found some more documentation online that had a QR link to an APK file that I was able to install and that finally let me access the camera. I generally don't like installing APKs that aren't vetted through the marketplace storefronts as the code could contain basically anything. Even the documentation in the app from the storefront would not load which only exacerbated the problem. Because the recording feature relies on the position of the camera, I am not sure how it will perform when on my boat, I would have preferred either a three position switch for power on/off/record on a separate switch or button to control the functions. For $170 I expect to receive a product that at least functions out of the box without troubleshooting and tinkering and am overall dissatisfied with my experience so far. As soon as I get to go out again, I will try and update my experience with battery life, video quality at different depths and reliability. Because it can only be charged via the very fragile feeling charging dock, I anticipate this potentially causing issues as well.

Okay let me tell you about this camera, it has the best picture quality, I was fishing for Bass or halibut but with no luck, when I removed the camera from pole that's when something hit my pole, it broke my leader but I don't know what it was but because I followed directions if the camera was on my pole I would have not lost it because it was on my line, This is the best way to record your fishing experience, You will have the catch from beginning to end, people I been fighting for many years but even though I can't see it in real time but I can go home and watch it over and over again, today is April 20 even though I didn't catch nothing but my friend did, just think how nice it would be to see that moment over and over again, Look Chasing from my experience is not out to just sell a product if for some reason you didn't get what you want they will work with you to make it right, It's been a long time since I met a company like this, I give them 5 stars and if I see something I'm interested in i won't hesitate to buy it, I can go on and on but the point I'm trying to make is talk to them if you're not satisfied with your purchase they will do everything to try to make it right, It's nice to know that company like this still exist, I love this fishcam but understand it's functional, We all want more but we need to be realistic,I need to stop but think you Chasing and when you make rocket cameras that can reach space keep the price affordable. .

Update: After my not great review customer support reached out to me. We went back and forth and they assured me that the app worked on my Google Pixel 9. Some functionality works, but the saved files won't play still. Since I got this for trolling, the saved files are all I'm after. It does work on my old phone. I've trolled with it a couple of times now. The picture quality is good. The only limiting factor is water clarity. I need to bring my old phone to watch the videos, which also means I can't immediately share videos or screen shots because my old phone lacks wireless data. For me that is a pretty significant drawback, but I've got this camera to work with my old phone after wasting hours trying to get it to work completely with my current phone. When in contact with their customer service they are fairly prompt. They seem to be in a far different time zone than Mountain. They do what they can to troubleshoot and were good to work with. Pictures include one at ten feet deep in clear water, two at 60+ feet deep in clear water, and one at fifteen feet deep in murky water. In each, my lure is slightly over three feet from the camera. For my personal use, three stars. But since I expect it to work more broadly for other phones, I'll give it four. I've tried for the last three nights to get this to work. I lost a LOT of time trying it with my phone in the app (on Google Pixel 9), seeing if it would connect with my computer, watching their tutorial videos in the app, and anything else I could try to make it successful. I've sent in a request to their customer support through the app too. I tried multiple times to do their firmware update in the app but the highest it will go is 68% and it just stays there. I want so bad to like this product. I finally tried (at the end of night three) charging up my old phone and downloading the app on that. I was able to see the videos that it took then. But, since I never use my old phone, nor do I have it with me at the lake or even charged, the product is still not useful. I'm waiting to see if customer service has a remedy before sending it back. I was planning on using this today but couldn't trust it. I have a trip where this was going to be an important part of gathering information in three days. Now I won't have the use of it. Update your app please!

I took this fishing camera out on a weekend trip to a lake where the water was deep enough that it was difficult to tell what was happening around my lure. Being able to see underwater activity gave me a much clearer idea of where fish were moving and how they reacted near the bait. The camera was straightforward to set up, and I liked being able to check the view from my phone instead of carrying another large screen. I tried it around different spots near submerged structure and could see details that I normally would have missed from the surface. It adds an interesting dimension to fishing, especially when exploring unfamiliar water or trying to understand why fish aren’t biting. I’ve enjoyed experimenting with it and plan to bring it along on future fishing trips.

not working, turn off system so bad, I got bad quality camera, please , dont buy it, you just will loose your money, camera not working... doesnt turning on. Save your nervous and money. Thank you

Can't connect to app from the box. No use of it because you can't see video records. Samsung S10+.

I bought this for my husband for a Christmas present and had it all charged up to use this past weekend. went to use it and there is no memory card installed. This product does not allow us to open it and it is supposed to come with the memory card installed. Unable to even use it. Very disappointed!

商品到着後に電源入れても黄色のランプがつかないので充電されてないのかと思い充電器にさしこむが 充電中のランプもつかない… とりあえず1時間程そのままにして再度電源立ち上げるも反応なし…ランプつかないだけか？と思い アプリからWiFi接続を試みるも自宅のWiFi以外検出されない… は？ 商品到着まで待たされて楽しみにしてたのに この結果はとても残念です。 そんなに安い商品じゃない訳だから出荷時に ちゃんと検品してないのか？ 初期不良で使いものにならないので 返品対応しますが次回は別の商品を 買うことにします。
