I have needed a good waterproof, comfortable shoe to wear every day while I do chores on my farm. So much so that by the end of the day, I don't want to take them off! They are water proof, at least for the filling and cleaning of water troughs. I haven't worn them in standing water so cannot vouch for how they would do in that scenario. I can walk over rocky terrain as these provide good traction and I don't feel the rocks through the soles so much, which is a plus. I wear them to do errands as well. I cannot tell you how warm they would be in cold weather as I have not had them that long, but I can tell you that my feet have not felt too hot in this warmer weather so they must have decent ventilation.
