Purchased this set as one of the Christmas stocking stuffer gifts. Great for what is designed for. We have several fishing trips a year and this set is perfect for anyone who prepares fish (trout) for dinner.

Tools are effective and price is right.

I bought these for weeding cactus in my pots and I love it. I prefer the pliers cause the curve makes it easier to grab and uproot weeds. The tweezers tend to cut the stem before the roots come off.

They made the difference in my pulling out the pin bones from a salmon fillet helping make a great dinner!

easy to pull splinter

Was delivered today, right in time - I had a piece of smoked trout that I wanted to eat for lunch. Right before lunch, these were delivered, so I quickly washed them with soap and water, and got to work deboning the trout. The pliers worked great - held on to even the smallest bones, and the bent tips allowed me to easily yank out the bones without damaging the flesh of the fish very much. Not so sure about the tweezers - they're a bit large and clumsy, and don't seem to grip as securely as the pliers. Maybe a little more practice with the tweezers would improve my technique and make me more comfortable with their use. Also, maybe they'll work better on a piece of raw fish, or maybe they work better on certain fish bones than others. Anyway, both of these tools work far better than trying to pull out the bones with my fingers!

Well made and nice to use, if you do your own fish boning, then these are well worth the money.

We got these to help debone and skin fish. We like that there are no plastic or rubber pieces for water to get caught in and get mouldy. The material is of a good weight and feels good in the hand, and the pliers have a solid feel. You can apply a good amount of force on whatever it is you are pulling away. We wash them and apply some oil to avoid any possiblity of rust, although I doubt they would rust without the oil. Happy with purchase.

Used a more expensive version of pliers with a smaller handle for years. Took a little time to get use to the handle. Grip on pinbone is very good. Happy with it. Not tried the tweezers.

This tool makes kitchen life so much easier! My son loves salmon fillets, and removing the bones used to be such a hassle. I even tried using my husband’s needle-nose pliers from his toolbox, but it didn’t work well. I hesitated to buy this at first because I thought it was a bit pricey, but it turned out to be totally worth it. It works perfectly for pulling out the bones, and the quality of the material is excellent. Highly recommend!
