Love this stuff, I had three jackets that were in need of some TLC so bought this and another product and when seeing them both decided with this. It's incredibly easy to apply doesn't need any warming and you can apply it straight from the tub. I used my fingers to work it into the fabric of the jackets then left in a warm room for a day to soak in before applying a second coat and doing the same. My jackets are now better than new completely water proof and an actual pleasure to wear again. Cant recommend this enough its a light weight mix making it easy to apply to the fabric evenly and plenty in there do do a good few jackets or a lot of reapplications over time. Thumbs up from me..

I used this to wax a previously untreated polycotton smock also bought on Amazon for outdoorsy/bushcraft type uses. Although I havent used the top yet, as the weather has been very warm I would like to share my thoughts. It is soft enough to apply without any heating, I used a two inch painting brush to apply it. It was VERY EASY to apply, about half the tub did a full smock, which isnt bad. It was a very honest product, easy to apply, and I just used a hair dryer to melt the wax in which was easy enough. Although I havent used it in the rain yet it beaded off the water using the sink, and even did it with running water, which 'water repellent' treatments like Nikwax (for cotton or polycotton) just will not do. Sometimes the old ways are the best, and wax does what it should and this product is great value, I dont think I would use another product after using this one.

Good quality and good value

Bought a tub of this to rewax my Northumberland Barbour jacket. Absolutely easy to do. Just need this and the wifes hair dryer. It doesn't need softening as it already is. There is enough in the tub to do another 2 coats at least. I must admit, I would prefer to see a list of ingredients on the tub so I can see what the wax content is. Either way, the price of this beats the cost of a smaller tub of the Barbour wax. It has good reviews and I can see why. No problems at all recommending it.

Initial set back with the order as the wax tubs got damaged in transit. However, they were replaced immediately without any fuss and new ones arrived a few days later. The wax proofer was purchased for my motorcycle jacket that has been exposed to the weather over the last year. Easy to apply with a soft cloth that can rub well into the fabric. I also used a stiff artists paint brush to push the wax into the seams which seemed to be effective. The wax can also be melted into the fabric using a hair dryer. After the jacket was dry, I sprayed it with water which just beaded off so ready for the road again.

Did the job. Great for waterproofing my coat. It did take a long time, close to 3 hours for a small ladis jacket. Make sure to use a hair dryer to melt it in after otherwise it turned white and flaky. The smell is ok,not too strong. The pot is very big, could have done 5 coats.

The wax goes on well but unfortunately it left a white residue which could not be removed. It made the jacket waterproof but did leave white marks.

Works well, but I found it difficult to use on a well worn wax jacket, but these jobs are a pain. Smelled quite strong for a few days, did settle and maintained water repellent. White marks everywhere initially.
