This slim volume punches far above its weight. Well written, clear and wise, it is packed full of insights, advice and truths. We should be hugely grateful to Dr. Morris for offering up these lessons, each one of which will be most valuable and extremely helpful to a wide range of people. I need to declare an interest. I have known Dr.Morris for a great many years. But even allowing for this, I am immensely impressed by this book. I know Dr Morris to be a perceptive person and, inevitably, in her life and in her work she could not fail to have become knowledgeable, but with this volume she has exceeded all expectations. The lessons in this book are expressed with simplicity, but they have been acquired after a lot of living, thinking and listening. There is something in this remarkable book for everyone. A privileged insight into a therapist's world
What a privileged insight into the world of psychotherapy! Dr. Morris has, by careful sorting of her years of case notes, presented a beautifully succinct précis of the role of love and sex as expressed through therapeutic sessions. This is a truly interesting little tome.

This is a well-written handbook, a distillation of the therapeutic insights the author has gained from years of treating patients. She shows in a clear and straightforward way how psychotherapy may expose the conflicting feelings the patient has towards his intimate partner so that he may then go on to confront them honestly and deal with them successfully. She also argues that effective therapy lays the foundations for a morality based not only on honesty but also kindness, forgiveness, patience and compromise, virtues the world can never have any excess of.

This was the worst book about relationship and sex I have ever read
This was the worst book about relationship and sex I have ever read. Deeply disappointing with very poorly written non-cohesive content. Makes me think I could write a better book.
